This has just started and i don't know if anyone else gets it but Google chrome has started saying the hype news section has malware.
harrenmediagroup or something like that?

anyone else getting this off the front page..is it something to be concerned about?

Something needs to be done about this. There's another thread in this section(Tech and Support) about this same problem. So it's getting worse. I don't know who should be contacted, but obviously the people in charge of running this site should do something. I don't know how you would get in contact with them, but more and more people are having these problems.

BTW what do you mean by "news section"?

by news i mean superherohype.com the mains hype page..superhero news!
i dunno who to asked...i didnt know there was a thread already or i'd have posted there..this got moved from the community forum.

not good tho malware on the hype..

I got this one a couple of weeks ago.

There's a thread about this in mod board

Yeah I kept getting this on the forum and news page about 5 mins ago. I sent an email via the "Contact Us" bit on the main Hype site.

Seems okay now though...

I have received this also. Usually malwarebytes picked that up, but now my Norton security is picking it up also. I have been getting malware attacks via uploaded images on the hype also.

I've gotten an "intrusion blocked" warning the past three times i've came here.

Ive got this loads on the boards today for the first time!

My computer got infected twice in ye last month.
Thinking about it, it would make sense if it was from ye hype.
Edit: it happened a 3rd time. I downloaded malwarebytes and it got rid of ye viruses. all 3 were Trojans.

We're checking into this guys, thanks for the heads up as we haven't experienced it ourselves.

A few of these attacks were thwarted when I downloaded the latest security patches for Windows.

The ad team has found the malignant ad and has removed it from the rotation. Thanks for pointing it out!

thank you to everyone who brought attention to these issues. and please continue to provide screencaps and as much info as you can in the future so that we may find these problems as fast as we can. the more info the better

Yeah I got a nasty virus (vista antivirus 2011) when I was in a thread in community which disabled my antivirus, spyware, firewall, and adware programs, and wouldn't allow me to even open any program without popping up asking to download the fake antivirus. I was only able to get rid of it by opening my computer in Safe Mode and using a second computer to download a removal tool for it.

I am glad to hear it is taken care of otherwise I would have to stop coming here as I couldn't risk that happening again.

Count me in as another person that got pegged on two seperate occasions the last week while on here. Using Rkill followed by MBAM got rid of them pretty easily though, but if you don't have them already and don't have a buddy that can get them to you, it can be a pain since most of these disable internet access.

This is happening again and it really needs to be addressed and fixed.
It's actually the second time I've gotten it by SHH in the past month.
It's not happening on any other website I go to.

I have AdBlockerPlus installed, and it usually blocks around 25-30 ads per page. For here, it's blocking 11.

I love the site and have been a long time poster, but it's not going to be worth it for me if this continues to be an ongoing thing.
