Man catches 881-pound tuna, seized by feds

I feel bad that he lost out in 5,000.

I wonder what you do with a fish that size? You could feed a whole nation.

Thats ridiculous. Even if he wins the lawsuit, all the money goes to some fund. So he gets nothing either way. He caught it, he should be able to keep it

Let's look at the party that's being ignored here...The Tuna.
The Tuna own the rights, as this Tuna was clearly the Tuna king.

''WHERE'S OUR KING'', they will shout. Your king has been taken by the humans.

The Tuna need to strike now.

Next time lie about it & stick a hook on it.

^^ Thats what I was thinking. :p
but itd be hard to catch a fish of that size on a rod and reel. Anyway, this is just another instance of needless government interference. I feel for the guy.

thats such BS the fish sold for 5grand, the government saw a huge profit and Robbed this guy. this is why were all in debt why our country is in a whole cause there stealing from us. its disturbing.

"While Rafael had the appropriate permits, fishermen are only allowed to catch tuna with a rod and reel.":exp:

Meanwhile, a week later the federal fishery enforcement agents were found floating headless just a few miles away.

Legalized theft.

Pretty much what it is. Why are there so many rules on FISHING. He CAUGHT it and it should be his to do what he pleases.

"You need a rod and reel". Yeah, because that giant fish would have been caught on a rod and reel! :wow:

They "legally" screwed this guy out of money because of one tiny little rule. Isn't our government and their outdated rules so wonderful? :whatever:

If its already caught, they should have let him keep it. Even a small fine wouldve been better!
