Man Has Face & Body Physically Changed to Resemble Superman

Unfortunately, surgery to make you taller is actually pretty common in Asian countries where people are shorter but height is prized. :o

China apparently banned the practice in 2006, though I thought I saw another article about Korean mothers taking their kids to have their legs lengthened. :wow:

Oh here it is, although they apparently don't go quite as far as leg-lengthening. Still doesn't sound any fun though. :o http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/23/world/asia/23seoul.html

Fah! I live near India and people come in all sizes. I guess it's different near the Far East. But here over at the South-East, a man's height is prized only by superficial girls :o (they should superficially be thinking about the size of other things in the male body).

Yeah my people can be pretty crazy, although luckily I was raised by non-crazy parents who didn't put a lot of emphasis on looks. (Although it helps that we inherited seriously skinny genes from the parents....) There have been some other articles about Chinese women going under the knife for some pretty insane procedures, like face reshaping, where they take off bone off the cheeks or the jaw. :wow: Sometimes they go too far and then these women can't eat like a normal person because they took too much bone off. :o

I'm pretty sure if I found myself over there, people would say I needed to shave my jawline, but then it'd be like erasing my dad from my face, cause that's where I get my prominent jawline from.

One of my Korean friends wore something like a corset because her mom apparently thought she was too fat and needed to train her waist. But all it did was give her heartburn. :o

Holy ****! No kidding... I get what you mean by losing a part of your dad while doing reconstructive surgery. But yeah, just goes to show just how obsessed we can get.

 :csad: ..... sad to hear about your friend though. That stuff is just too Medieval.
