Man wins lawsuit after being stuck in Disney's "It's a Small World" for half hour

You really need to go through that ride once in your life. It's just something you have to experience firsthand, the jokes and seeing it from the outside don't count. Trial by fire.

Panic attacks and high blood pressure. Or, in other words, having to endure the song for that long.

Exactly. If that song playing over and over doesn't skyrocket one's blood pressure, nothing will.

You just know there's going to be a movie based off of this starring John Goodman.

The last time I was on, I thought of how fun it would be to bring somebody on it who's afraid of dolls! :)

It's the one disney ride you can easily turn into a horror ride lol.

It's a Small World was awesome the last time I went to Disney World.

It was closed. :woot:

It was great the last time I went to Disneyland too.

I have successfully managed to avoid that ride since 2007. :awesome:

You know its bad when even Disney makes fun of it in their own commercial:

The Haunted Mansion, however, will always be a phenomenal ride.

Personally I hate the It's a small world song. It enrages me for no apparent reason. I hear it and I just get furious, I have no idea why. I would have started destroying things if that happened to me. Of course I never would have went there in the first place but if they did and that happened, they'd need the tranq darts to stop my Hulk like rampage.

you sound like my friend when he hears/sees "Ben 10", or me when i hear "The Big Bang Theory" (the show, not the event lol)

Reporter - Congratulations Mr. Martinez you won an $8K lawsuit, where are you going to spen...

Martinez - Disneyland!

I went to DW last month and got stuck on the ride that goes on in the Epcot Dome. My car was literally a few inches from the dismount section but we had to remain seated for nearly 20 minutes for our "safety".

Where's my money?

We got stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean during one trip. The boats stopped around the last pirate set. After about 10 minutes, one of the cast members walked out to give an update, and someone asked if they could at least turn off the song. And they did! Although the animatronic pirates kept moving around. :wow:

They wound up not being able to move the boats up, so they ultimately brought out these wooden boards, and we walked over them onto the pirate set, through one of the rooms, and out the back rooms back into the park.

It was our impromptu backstage tour of Disney World. It was kinda cool, though.

We were also able to confirm that when Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates do not eat the tourists. :oldrazz:

I can't have been the only one who thought of The Killing Joke when they read this.

LOL! we got lucky,we were about to go into Pirates down in Disney World last May when my 8 year old saw they had Goofy dressed as a Pirate off to the side for the whole pictures/greeting thing, and he wanted to do that first. while standing in line waiting i noticed about 5 minutes in they closed those big doors that go into the Pirates ride. turned out it broke down and was down for the rest of the day. If not for my kid's whining,I would've been sitting in there for a half hour if not more!

Seriously, after hearing the same lyrics to It's A Small World for 30 minutes straight wouldn't you want to sue too?

So that last room? They all died and they're like ghosts now resurrected to haunt you one last time before you make it out alive?
Kidding, I actually love that stupid ride.

.....:shock

What's up with this lawsuit, was he like alone, the only one left in there? Cause yeah that would freak the living soul out of me. Did everyone else just get up and walk out, but due to his disability he couldn't move?

Or was everyone stuck together, and only he sued?
