Iron Man Mandarin is being played by...??

He also confirmed Mandarin in last months Wizard Summer Movie preview issue, Favreau said he will be as evil and as powerful in the movie as he is in the comics.
Why we haven't heard of casting yet, you guess is as good as mine, either they have cast the role and are keeping it a secret or the role hasn't been cast yet, because Mandarin will have a small role in the first film.

Tony Stark in his strongest armor couldn't last through several Kobashi rapid fire chops or the Holy Buddha double-palmed knife edge chops.

My uncle had old 60s comics where the Mandarin was slashing through Iron Man's armor with his bare hands with his karate chops. So everything fits!

So I think we are all in agreement that Kenta Kobashi should play The Mandarin correct?

Even though Kobashi is a wrestler, Japanese, and probably doesn't know any English at all.

I think Mandarin will only be a behind-the-scenes villain in the first movie. His presence will be felt through all 3 movies. He'll be seen, but I don't think he and Iron Man will fight till the 3rd movie.

Obviously, Iron Monger is the physical villain for the first movie. I don't see them squeezing in Mandarin as well as a physical threat in the 1st film.

It's possible that the Mandarin could be a behind-the-scenes villain in this film, but I wonder why Favreau would've said he was the main villain in the film if that is the case?

I don't think so, they've confirmed and re-confirmed that he's in it and that he's the main villain.

Hey, I'm wondering, what about Advanced Dark theory?

^ I thought Favreau said there would be no rings and Mandarin would not be like he is in the comics. We know bridges is Stane. I suggested that perhaps he has an alternate identity of the Mandarin. Stark has no clue Stane is the Mandarin and neither will the audience...until the end. Shocker huh? That was an early theory of mine when Bridges was first cast. I just bumped that thread.

Would we have Obediah Stane/mandarin??? and whatever has been agreed before, Maisel got his way and changed things up...

Not that I like the idea, but that could be a possibility...

It would beat the gas cloud ghost Mandarin they came up with in the animated DVD. I wouldn't be opposed to the idea. Like I just read AD say, think Usual Suspects.

This Maisel is a bottom line guy. Meaning screw cannon just make money. I'm pissed! Marvel is going to ruin itself with this guy in charge.
