Yeah i think i'd rather pop-in the Dawn of the Dead (2004) or 28 days later. If the reviews that come out for this are actually very good that will likely change my mind but if not...

I genuinely don't believe you guys are telling the truth. You'll be in the theaters on opening night, popcorn in one hand, carbonated beverage in the other and you'll be overjoyed to watch Brad Pitt running from zombie piles.

All of you are going to be there opening night, don't lie.
There are some movies that I express my dislike of, but I'll probably be there to see them. One I can think of is TMNT, and probably Transformers 4 even though I hate to admit that one. Another one is After Earth.

This one, though? I just can't. Not even excited to see it, or intrigued in the least. Gotta sit it out, because there are going to be too many movies this year that look far more deserving of my 10 bucks than this.

You guys can't wait to watch Brad Pitt's long hair dance in the wind as he interviews people and fights zombies.

Somebody edit the Monty Python "run away" over these trailers, cause that'll be the most entertainment I'll get from them so far.

The marketing materials have supplied me with no confidence for this film; not that I had much, since the Zombie sub-genre has run out of gas, and needs to be retired. And no, I will not be seeing this on opening night, as I can find better investments of $15 (such as a nice plate of Indian food at this restaurant I have discovered.)

I'll say once more that this thing is already poised to deliver something different. The cgi at this stage is dodgy, true, but the way the zeds move in waves like a virus is very creepy and original and it's refreshing to see a zombie flick tackling the apocalypse on a global scale, rather than assaulting the local mini-mart yet again. But to each his own.

That's why I'm looking forward to this. It's not an isolated place. Those are fine and all, but I'm loving the global scale of this.

Oh you mean how I Am Legend did? Im pretty sure we all know how that turned out. The fact is cgi zombies do not work no matter how convincing your digital effects team is. That is one of the only good things about TWD in that heir practical effects work is outstanding and top notch.

i would like to remind everyone that this movie was pushed back 6 months and they had 7 weeks for reshoots to change the ending. the ending was written by Damon Lindelof(LOST,Prometheus, JJ Abrams movies,....)

so this will be interesting.

now i am reading that Lindelof didnt have time so they hired Drew Goddard

i expect this to be bad forster's last 2 films blew

machine gun preacher with it's whopping 29% on RT

and the less we talk about QOS the better

QOS was that bad that we should not even talk about it? :)

I've been saying for years that we need a movie or show that focuses on a zombie apocalypse not only globally but also politically and militaristically. It looks like I'm getting my wish here so I'm down. Dunno if I'll be there opening day though

I Am Legend has a larger scale than most, but if we're looking at isolation, yes it was isolated in New York, but we saw a lot of it, hence its bigger scale than most zombie films. Besides, they were as much vampiric as they were undead, but I'm splitting hairs there.

I've always wanted to see governments first responses to a zombie apocalypse. I swear I've been saying all this for years. I honestly dunno if this movie will do well or not, people ****ing love everything zombies these days but nonetheless I'm just glad that we are getting some of the things I've talked about before. I've always hated the isolationism portrayed in most zombie movies.

The trailer wasn't that bad, the movie looks ok.
I like the tidal waves of zombies.
