Western Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio Eye Killers of the Flower Moon

It's a changing world.

Looking at Netflix’s most watched original movies makes me weep. What a pitiful list.

Works better than Netflix for Scorsese as he now gets his creative freedom with he budget he wants along with a worldwide theatrical release.

The film will get a wide theatrical release through Paramount before it becomes the biggest film title so far on Apple’s streaming service.

Normally Apple bugs me, but I can appreciate them doing this.

Basically it'd be $200 million for a streaming prestige style project. Not sure what ROI is on something like that, but that's up to the execs.

At the same time, I'm not buying into Apple+ for something like this.

Hell of a thing. Leo wants to save the planet, while flying private and using yachts which pollute 10x more, while also making art for the bald guy who had folks peeing in bottles just to deliver baby wipes and whatnot, but I can overlook all that because of Marty.

Wow...that’s a lot of dollar signs — probably more expensive than a lot of blockbusters, actually.

Perhaps this doesn’t matter much but I find it highly unlikely this movie is going to make its money back with that gargantuan budget. Not sure if putting this out in theaters is exactly a good idea.

Honest question - who cares?

I feel like certain directors have earned the right to just make movies and **** the comeback.

*Looks at budget*

Is this being shot in space too? :o

The audience should care too up to a certain extent. The less money projects they like make, the less chances of sequels or subsequent movies by the same creators they might get to see. Granted a-list names like Scorsese can certainly survive box office flops, he certainly made a few in the last decade, but if it were to keep happening studios would at least be more reluctant towards his vision in the future.

The studios that’s money is on the line if this doesn’t perform.

But for us it’s a win.

Irishman most likely didn’t make its money back, but this has DiCaprio in the lead who’s Scorsese’s lucky charm at the box office.

In the end, we’re getting a big budget Scorsese film in theatres with DiCaprio and DeNiro together. Let them spend the money. Scorsese is 77. Count any project he makes at this point a win.

Oh yeah can't wait to sign up for Apple+ to watch this after it leaves theaters.

Not to mention it gives Apple or whoever is funding it prestige and legitimacy.
