I remember at Comic Con 2007 in New York at the one of the Marvel confrences a guy went up and asked when we would see "Marvel Apes" and he had this picture of a white ape with a captain america mask on! and I swear Joe Quesada said this was happening. Anyone also remember this? Any news? or am I just going crazy?

No, I remember it as well. It was after the popularity of the Marvel Zombies thing, and they had a poll or something to determine what other mini-series of that kind the readers wanted to see. Marvel Apes I think was a resounding winner. I don't think it's been taken any further than that though.

Heard of it as well.

I remember being at the con and the guy suggesting it and me and my friend had NO IDEA what the guy was talking about. Also is that transformers/ Avengers book out yet?

Comes out today, I believe. Given that it features the IDW versions of the TFs, I'm looking forward to it.

I'd like to see this Marvel apes pic, too.

What does IDW stand for? Also why is that good? I know IDW writes Gargoyles is that a good book?

Mike Wieringo has posted some of his versions here and there on his blog over the past few months. Here's a slew of 'em:

What? No Squirrel Girl?

He's also done a bunch of Spider-Ham inspired pieces, some Marvel and some DC, if anyone's interested.
