Im a fan of water based heroes. I just wish Marvel and DC would put forth some effort into making them awesome again( dc has done so with dcnu aquaman). Namor has always been a fav of mine but i'm not a namor expert either. Like why his hate for the surface world when his father was a human? I would make Namor a lil more relaxed. What if he was promoted...good enough word for it, to not jus king of atlantis but protector of the oceans period. maybe he no should no longer have the stress of being king and is an aquatic nomad, jus a thought. One of my favorites is Stingray! awesome costume and cool charcter but never gets any love. What do yall think?

Yeah Stingray gets no love. You have this great charcter and concept with so much that can be explored and yet Marvel has what 3 or so Hulks, 2 spidermen, 20 x-men titles, 2 wolverines(logan daken), 2 hawkeyes, etc. They call themselves the house of ideas when they should be the kings of recycling. So many good concepts and things going to waist.

I've been researching Namor and Namor hates the surface world because the surface world treats the ocean like crap...imagine if someone comes to your house and uses it like a dump.
Namor is the protector of the oceans...no need for a promotion

Promotion was really the wrong word for it. Im jus saying take a break from being king. Like who is Namor without imperious rex. Namor is a great character no matter what. Probably in my top 3 favorite from Marvel. Jus would like to see something different and fresh for him other than him being an x-man

I am not a fan of him being an X-men...he should be an Avenger

I've never really liked this idea that Namor's a mutant, personally. He's already a hybrid. Isn't that enough for him to develop weird powers?

I'd be cool with that. Who really cares about the dude in the Stingray suit, to be honest? But it's a nice visual design. Maybe make it a more all-purpose armor instead of specifically water-based, too.

I thought Namor with the X-Men was wierd at first but I've grown to like it a lot. I'll be sad when he leaves, unless he takes Emma with him, then it's all cool.

Namor just can't carry an ongoing title. I bought the first 5 or 6 issues of his most recent that launched during the Curse of the Mutants and it was good but I lost interest quickly.

Really, there just aren't enough interesting underwater characters to justify digging into that realm. It feels like there should be but I'm just not into the ones we have.

Namor is alright but I get bored of him quickly.

Stingray does nothing for me, though I think I could grow to like him if I read more with him.

Loa (of the X-Men students) is interesting to me but not enough to really add anything to the cast of underwater characters.

Tiger Shark could be cool but isn't a big deal.

And anyone who's a blue Atlantean bores me. They're like the Kree... generic blue person like the other generic blue people.

I'd like to see something happen though. That's one area of the Marvel Universe that feels unexplored.

I've always been interested in Fathom from Top Cow or whoever she's with nowadays. One of these days I might actually read one of her comics.

Namor could carry his own title if they stop doing dumb things to him. Imagine a series that combined the political intrigue of Game of Thrones with the heroics of Superman

Namor's also not been as angry towards surface-dwellers lately. He's quite calm. More into sexing every female creature up :D

I like to think of Namor like the ocean....sometimes it can be the most beautiful, serene, awe inspiring thing...and next it will try to kill you

Namor hasn't been beautiful since he stopped wearing his scaly green speedos. :csad:
