Wow, I thought I was the only one who loved Garney. Everyone else seemed to be whining about how his art was boring or scratchy or other nonsense when he first got on ASM.

I don't know about this "Garbey" character, but a JR Jr./Garney double-team on the Spidey titles would rule. Ringo on FNSM is already good, but unfortunately PAD's made that title unreadable.

i used to think ringo was the end all, be all to spider-man artists, but he hasn't been doing it for me since before he left marvel to do tellos.

I still like Ringo as a Spidey artist, but I think I associate him more with the FF now because of his and Waid's run. As good as he was on Spidey, I wouldn't call any of his work anything definitive for Spider-Man. Waid and his FF run, however, is probably the best I've ever read (no, I haven't read much of the Byrne or Lee eras).

I almost agree with this. I don't know...I think PAD's writing is kind of cheesy. The lines seem so...old fashioned. To me, the words just don't flow. Now Sensational Spider-Man. That's a heck of a Spidey book

Judging by how it's magic in origin, I don't see how it couldn't be a tattoo.

During the battle, Daniel throws himself against the scar of Shou-Lao, which burns a dragon tattoo into his chest.

No matter how you see it, the symbol IS like a scar. The mark was on the Dragon, and now Danny's chest is marked with the scar. I still think, imo "tattoo" is the wrong term.

Iron Fist got the mark in the process of getting the power of the Iron Fist. The dragon's heart had been removed and a magical link existed between dragon and heart. Fist had to break the link to kill the dragon so he blocked the hole in the dragon's chest where the heart had been removed by covering it with his own chest. This caused the power of the dragon that had been flowing out of it and to the heart to flow into Fist instead. Calling it a brand is probably closest to the truth but it may be a mystic construct just as much. The Steel Serpent stole the power of the Iron Fist by covering up Danny's brand with his own chest and hanging on long enough.

Did you see the lil' smiley at the end of my comment about you and Dread and Darth? That means I was joking. Go stick your chest against a humor dragon's chest and see if you gain any.

No matter what you say, I just don't think the jokes are funny. And when i said "what the hell is your problem?" I was reffering to the post you made about Dr. Strange.

Now that you posted that pic I'm even more certain that the current costume is the new one. It mentions that the collar didn't work, the open chest is very 70's, they gave him ninja boots (I hate how some people think ninja is the MSG of martial arts) and that when his old one got destroyed was the opportunity to change it. Oh, and the last fragment when it refers to the open chest one in the past sense it clinches it, IMO. But, you've read this a dozen times and still don't see that; it's okay, people can interpret things differently. I hope it's not a problem for you that I don't like the costume and I express it. If you have a right to gush so much about it (and I'm fully aware you're a big IF fan) I have as much right to state my dislike about it.

I never said I had a problem with you not liking the current up to date look for the suit. My post to you was directed to your post about you saying the suit in cover #6 was probably the new suit. And I was simply stating that it may not be a new auit for Danny. Sure there's the comments Aja made, but remember, Danny wears this new suit in #3, the #5 cover has him wearing the original suit. More like the option #1 design in the sketch I posted. Plus, Danny is shown on the New Avengers covers, wearing the original suit. If the up to date look does turn out to be the new suit, then I have no problem with it. Nor your opinion about not liking it. You'e entitled to your opinion, and I have noproblem with that.

The sequence in #1 shows Danny planting the dragon's scar on his chest right in the middle of his chest. So indeed, he is lucky.
