So whilst it is not the most to go off this tweet and her responses to others would indicate that a Captain Britain TV show is coming to our screens. There's no word on any casting, scripts or which network is doing it but this is a start I guess.

So with the little information that we have what do people think the show should be and how they will cope with the split between Marvel and Fox properties?

could be cool

on the Marvel/Fox thing, it'll just come down to who has what rights
obviously they won't be able to mention Psylocke (or maybe say he "has a sister he hasn't seen in years") but it'll be interesting to see where Megyn, Jaime Braddock and other Excalibur related characters end up

but hey, maybe they work a deal with Fox, and the MCU and X-universe are 2 different worlds in the multiverse, to take the DCTV idea
a long shot, but a guy can hope

And so long Ciara McAvoy, hope you enjoyed that career
You don't cross the Marvel snipers, lol

I feel that a Union Jack show would be a far better idea but who knows

If they make it Captain Britain and MI: 13 they could have it where Captain Britain and Gloriana are already married and leading the team and claim that all the stuff with his siblings happened in the past. It would also remove the need for a love triangle like a lot of shows seem to have; Arrow, Flash, Gotham, Lucifer.

Out of all the options for a tv show captain Britain would be at the bottom, I think fake (at least I hope it's fake) there are like 100's of better options than this.

I don't know. I'd like to think it's being made. It's not the worst choice.

Here's a new tweet in which she tells you the producers.

I agree it's not the series that would best fit in with what the MCU (if it's even being set in the MCU) but maybe that's why it might work. Agents of Shield, Agent Carter and Marvel's Most Wanted are all so heavily tied in together. By doing a series set away from this it would give them more freedom without being stuck in with what happens with those series.

The only thing that worries me is how she has revealed so much in two days so leniently but that may be part of the promotion plan.

It's Frankly a terrible choice, there are very few if any people who wanted this and of those that did would probably not have put this at the top of their wishlist. Generally if this gets made it's gonna flop unless they have a genius at the helm (which Marvel could get).

there's so much more and BETTER material than THIS to be used...

Maybe he will fight his French counterpart !

Our national superhero, I present to you : Super Dupond !

He's not an actual "real" superhero, he was created by satiric authors :)
SuperDupond is a caricature of us, French people, he fought the Anti-France gang.

I posted that merely as a joke, you know, the old French/English feud, like Atreides/Harkonnen from Dune.

Edit : he was created in the early 70'.

TVLine is reporting that the whole thing is not happening.

Shame it's not happening, over the last forty years Captain Britain has had some truly groundbreaking stories. The Alan Moore "Jaspers Warp" story and Excalibur, MI:13 stuff in particular. Don't forget Alan Davis created him. As a Brit I would love to see Brian Braddock and his crazy family enter MCU, I mean his sister is in the new Xmen movie for Sony after all.
