Marvel Looking into Female Characters

I think we should stay clear of Spider Woman honestly, I don't think she'd be well received by the GA

Absolutely yes - Maybe - Just no

1. Ms. Marvel
2. Black Widow

3. She-Hulk
4. Scarlet Witch

5. Tigra
6. Spider-Woman
7. Thundra

1. Black Widow (Please!)
2. Ms. Marvel
3. Scarlet Witch
4. Spider-Woman
5. She-Hulk (It depends: If it is Red She Hulk, I will rank it higher.)
6. Tigra
7. Thundra

Spider-Woman's stint in the comics recently is what's made me like her so much now. I think if people actually gave her character a chance she could make a great superhero spy thriller movie

Ms Marvel, Scarlet Witch and Black Widow movies would all be nice. Does a Crystal-led Inhumans movie count? 'Cuz I'd like to see that.

I'd like to see *all* these superheroines in the MCU soon, but as far as devoting an entire solo movie to them....I could really only see Ms. Marvel needing one. The rest, I think, could be introduced "on the fly" in an Avenger movie, or at least be developed on TV on the SHIELD show.

I agree,but I'd put Spider-Woman in the "maybe" section.
Spider-Woman is a nice character, but I just don't think she'd work as a standalone character. Not unless they change her name for the film. DC is in a transition stage of, out of necessity, changing Captain Marvel's name to Shazam to avoid confusion, so now would also be a good time to give Spider-Woman a new name. I don't think too many people are attached to that name anyway.

1. Black Widow
2. Ms. Marvel (in combination with Captain Marvel)

None of the rest can hold or deserve their own movies.

Spider-Woman can absolutely work on screen and in the MCU, contrary to popular belief, but I don't think she can pull off a movie. Not because she doesn't have a compelling character concept, she really does and is far more interesting than the above two quite honestly, but her name would probably bring a stigma with it. There's a difference between just being a character in The Avengers or other heroes' movies with the codename Spider-Woman and actually having your own movie and having to market a movie with the name 'Spider-Woman' attached to it. They should just introduce her in an Avengers film like the Maximoffs.

If anyone deserves it the most its Ms. Marvel.

Black Widow and Ms. Marvel. None of the others are worthy.

I'd say Black Widow, with a way of introducing another female character in the same movie.

I wouldn't go that far. She-Hulk and Spider-Woman done correctly could be great movies. Widow and Marvel are just the two most likely to get solo outtings. Though I'm hoping if Widow does get a solo film they use Hawkeye in it too.

Spider Woman would only work if Marvel has the rights, not Sony like Spiderman.

 the one thing that's going to confuse the audience. Spider-Woman has nothing at all to do with Spider-Man. So yes Marvel has the rights to her. That's why I said done right. As much as I would hate it, if they changed her the name to get a Jessica Drew movie out there I wouldn't mind too much.

Spider-Woman, Ms. Marvel, She Hulk = these are the only female characters that MCU has that I can see carrying a solo film.

I wouldn't be surprised if they gave Black Widow a solo movie but she's already appearing in three movies and unlike the 3 female superheroes that I mentioned, she doesn't have skills/powers that will really appeal to the general audience.

^^^ A Black Widow movie would be like Salt in terms of being a spy thriller with a female lead. At least with Spider-Woman there's a much better origin story there and she has powers so it'd be a new take on both genres.

And actually a character that I missed Jessica Jones she could possibly carry her own film.

Captain Marvel, Black Widow and Scarlet Witch
Beyond just being 'female' Captain Marvel brings a great cosmic story, Black Widow is spy-fi genre gold and Scarlet Witch starts opening up the magic side, and can even be used to introduce the whole Inhumans/substitute mutants thing...

Captain Marvel all the way, imo. I think a Black Widow movie would basically be what Cap 2 is now, just without Cap.

Scarlet Witch would be cool too, but since Marvel is all about the cosmic stuff at the moment, Danvers just makes the most sense to me.

Not necessarily. I mean Feige has said they're not trying to classify the movies into one thing i.e. Cosmic, Magic, Sci-Fi etc. Plus they're getting into the magic side of the universe next phase with Dr. Strange which is a possibility that the female solo film will be made so it's an open ball field.

We'll see, but I have a feeling that Dr. Strange will just be more of that magic/science stuff we got in Thor, tying it neatly into their cosmic universe.
