Marvel Prepping Four Series and a Miniseries

This is the best news I've heard in a long time! My 11th (DD), 13th (Iron Fist) & 14th (Cage) favorite Marvel heroes are FINALLY joining the MCU. I've been waiting to see Danny & Luke ever since the first Iron Man. These shows can't come soon enough!!!

It's Netflix, so it should be okay.

But then again, you hate the MCU. So it's no surprise that you express disappointment.

No i hate hardcore MCU fanboys, MCU itself is fine.

I'm a big Iron Fist fan and would like a movie, the quality of their current TV dept doesn't instill confidence

And what of those of us without access to Netflix?

I've been wishing for a Daredevil HBO series for years. The fact that Netflix and Marvel are making this a reality, along side with goddamn Iron Fist? It's too good to be true. Sooo excited. This could be the best thing out of the MCU if done right. Please don't screw up.

Great news, although I kind of wish Iron Fist Fist and Cage shared a show and Moon Knight or Punisher had the other but eh.

Using the Defenders seems weird but it's not like we could expect Ghost Rider, Doc Strange and Silver Surfer to fill out the roster any time soon. Repurposing that is cool enough I guess.

Excited about DD the most. JJ should be cool too, wonder if they're taking anything from the previous Alias project?

This is pretty epic. NETflix with the huge dollars. Wow, Netflix is essentially becoming a major force inregards to new programming.

It'll hit DVD/BluRay eventually. Or sign up for an account I guess. I'm sure getting some new customers is what this is about, at least on the Netflix side.

The other Netflix original programming has been released on DVD/BRD about 4 months after their premieres, like features films generally are

This is f**king perfect. Marvel's great for this one, and I'm glad it won't be on Network TV; now it can be as gritty, adult and violent as it needs to be! The heroes they picked are perfect for the TV setting. I'm guessing Netflix will have a higher standard of acting, and that can only mean good things for these shows.

2015 just got even more epic, and this time it wasn't a movie that did it! :woot:

Punisher may not get his own show but he Moon Knight and Blade will probably appear in a few episodes.

If those episodes are incredibly popular they might develop a spin off series.

Yes! I think all three of those characters are showing up somewhere in these shows. Maybe they'll even all be Defenders.

Will these shows be limited or do they just have the first season guaranteed with the possibility of renewal? I know Defenders is limited, but what about Daredevil for example?

Netflix isn't fully available in all territories yet. I think that's what jmc's getting at

Maybe where you are.

Will they be able to use Kingpin in the Daredevil show? I seem to remember someone saying Sony owns the rights to the character with Spider-Man and just made a deal with Fox to loan it to them for the Daredevil film.

There are other ways :cwink:

Indeed, Netflix may as well have a banner on the front saying 'From overseas? Stop complaining to us about not being able to access the content and just go to Pirate Bat to get it.'

You know, I've got to say, on a whole, Marvel and DC are both going to be spoiling us BIG TIME in the next three years when it comes to tv and cinema. 2015 is going to be a huge year with Batman vs Superman, Avengers and Antman plus we have this new new slate of Marvel tv series PLUS by that time we'll have Gotham, The Flash, Arrow and Constantine on tv.

This next decade is looking to be the most exciting time to be a comic book fan.

I agree with everything! Except that DC tv bores me. Seems like Marvel will blow DC away on that front. I'm curious about The Flash and Constantine, though.
