Sequels Marvel Studios should get Spider-Man back from Sony

I think it would be cool if Marvel got the film rights back to their other characters if for no other reason than the crossover potential.

However I'm well aware that Sony isn't going to let go of the rights to Spidey anytime in the foreseeable future, but doesn't Marvel at least have some creative control over the films?

They should get them back, but it'll never happen. I'm sure Spider-Man will stay with Sony till the dawn of time.

I don't see that happening anytime soon, considering that Spidey has been Sony's #1 cash cow for years. There's no way that Sony would give it up that easily.

I guess we'll just have to see how Spider-Man 4 turns out. If it screws Sony over financially, then I can see it being Marvel Studios'.

Wouldn't it be fun to see Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain American, Thor, Black Panther, Beast, Daredevil, Wasp, Namor, and Vision all in one movie. Maybe not all of them but **** I would love to see all my favorite Marvel Heros in one movie, but can't cause they have different studio owners. Can't they just all come together and make a deal to have them all appear in one movie

of course they have contracts, BUT they can always renew them or NOT when they end the period they have signed for... even sell it to another studio that puts more money in there..

Sony has the first right of refusal...if they pay their option money, and get someone working on the script, Marvel can't get the IP back. Sony has made so much money off Spider-Man, and it's so critical an IP to their overall corporate profitability that there's nearly ZERO chance they will not keep it for the next 10 years at least.

You know I doubt they will ever give up the rights but I don't think that means Sony would nevrer allow Spidy to appear in a cross over film in some form. As long as they get a "cut".

Heck you could argue it will only help them by promoting their Spider-man movies more.

Sony apparently has the rights to 7 movies. I would love for Marvel to have the rights back and tell Raimi to do it their way. What they did to Venom was atrocious.
