Marvel Super Hero Squad Show

I caught a little of this as I was on my way out the door. It was quick and I couldn't determine much, but Abomination running away from the heroes, yelling "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo" or whatever was enough to keep me moving toward the car.

I'll try to grab a repeat this weekend, but I don't think this is for me.

Who is the guy who turns into the dinosaur type creatures & appears to be the youngest member of the team? Is he originally from the X-Men characterverse?

...Holy...****. This show sucks. I mean...damn. Where do I begin? Nobody gets to say anything about Brave and The Bold or The Batman again.

EDIT: I'll admit that it's funny but the forced catchphrases ("Hero Up"? Really?) and mis characterization (Silver Surfer. Nnnnnoooo.) really gets on my nerves. I know it's made for kids but what age demographic exactly. I grew up with X-men TAS and Batman TAS so I'm guessing this show is for toddlers or kids still teething or something...God, Moleman is still farting.

I think it's something fun to watch on Saturday morning, which it is pretty much made for, but that's about it. There aren't really anymore action/comedy shows on anymore that don't take themselves so serious...except maybe BATB.

I don't like the show but I think it's pretty cool that Steve Blum is continuing to voice Wolverine.

So is Batman The Brave and The Bold but at least that's a show I can watch with my 7 year old nephew.

Tried to watch this but just couldn't get into it at all. It's that too dumb, yeah, even for the little ones, and I have a 9-year-old son. He agrees with me.

I'm not really a Batman fan (big JL/JLU fan) but I think The Brave and the Bold is far superior to this.

It's cool that they're using characters that haven't had a chance to shine in other mediums, but does this have to have all the lame jokes? I remember there were shows like this on UPN when I was small. I flipped right past them and watched something better. They could improve upon this a lot by continuing the zany 50s feel with the stuffy pseudo-scientific terms balanced out with lighthearted fantasy, avoid jamming in a gross-out body humor scene every five minutes, and thereby make this a watchable show. But right now, if I want a trippy 'toon for tykes, I'll stick to "Batman: The Brave and The Bold."*

*EDIT: I don't usually watch kid's animations or much TV at all, but if I did it'd be this.

I caught the first two eps in full. No thanks. This just makes me wish there was a Marvel-inspired show that used this breadth of characters in a more dramatic format.

I don't mind lighthearted fare. Shows in the mold of Brave and the Bold and Spectacular Spidey are one thing. Those that strike comparisons to Krypto the Superdog are another. Cute show, but there's no continuing interest for me.

Yeah this show had alot of potential for us grown ups with all the celebrity voice actors like George Takei as Galactus? But it seems it has Fart jokes and whatnot. I admit, i LOVE the intro song and i download it asap with the hero code the premiere gave.

I can't believe they made the Silver Surfer into an actual Silver Surfer. I mean he's not Norrin Radd any more he's more like Otto or Twister from Rocket Power.

I recently got a chance to watch first episode, and basically I agree with some members here. The show does suck, or at least is rather average at best. It's basically forced comedy, even a kid could pick up on that. It makes Spongebob look good, not saying it's not, but you get the point.

Now Brave and the Bold does it better, they should try and go that route.

I find it creepy how they all have detailed faces and musculature but 4 fat digits on each hand. ; Also, Reptil; Really? "Let's do Beast Boy but really lame and not funny." He's got an irradiated fossil embedded into him somehow that enables him to adopt traits of any dinosaur. Very plausible. Trouble is, he always seems to pick features from a few really well known dinosaurs and ones that, as any kid who knows anything about dinosaurs will tell you, shouldn't work that way.

Aside from that, hey it's a silly kids show aimed at slightly younger viewers than SSM & W&TXM. Though personally, I would have preferred something more in the vein of Bullpen Bits and (an albeit less raunchy) Twisted Toyfare Theater.

Seen a few episodes, effing hilarious with all the quips and random references.

I even made a ringtone of the shortened theme [that they play in the actual show-it's about 20s long], if anyone wants it.

I'm 35, and I enjoy this show. It's best to think of it as the Marvel Universe's version of Tiny Toon Adventures, it makes a lot more sense that way.
