probably because they plan on releasing the "gold" edition with the DLC included soon
I just cant believe I totally forgot about the DLC and didn't think about it again for 2 months...right around when they took it down
So the DLC is never coming back online?
It's still up on Xbox Live. Either PSN is acting screwy or Activision decided to screw you guys over.
I'm glad that I got the DLC when it was still available on Marketplace, but I think it is unfortunate that they took it down, and people who brought this game recently have no chance of buying it at all. This also doesn't bode well for future DLC that they may release for MUA2.
Personally, I find this a small victory and I hope the new Spider-Man game has NOTHING to do with Activision in any way, shape, or form. :3
Keep wishing. Thats not happening. Activisions deal with Spider-Man doesn't run out for some time. The next Spider-Man game that drops will be an Activision title. The only thing that would of gotten in the way would of been the Disney/Marvel merger, but even when that was discussed it was noted that Activisions Spider-Man plans werent going to change any time soon.
According to a member on the X-box forum who contacted Activision Customer Support here's the response he got back from Activision .
Hello,
The DLC for the MUA 2 game on the Xbox 360 is not currently available. It is currently not possible to obtain DLC for the game from the Xbox LIVE. Unfortunately we do not have information regarding whether or not additional DLC for the game will be released or if the DLC will be placed onto the Xbox LIVE marketplace again.

That doesn't explain anything. Everyone already knows they took it down. Everyone wants the reason WHY.
So all the kids who got the game for crimbo can't get the DLC. And then their parents will have to go out and buy the gold edition? What a dick move. That's gotta be a breach of trading standards or something.
To be honest, no one REALLY knows what's going on because no one is talking. I've asked one of the mods on the official forums, he doesn't even know.
So it's nothing but speculation but don't think Marvel can't take their property back because they can.
Oh, and as of last year, Spider-Man and X-Men were tied to Activision until 2017 but, as I said, things change.
See thats were i think you're incorrect. I dont think Marvel can just take back that property, at least not without a heavy penalty. If that was the case they would have already taken their X-Men and Spider-Man film properties away from their respective owners in order to distrubute it themselves the way they have started doing with their other properties. If Marvel were to just take the Spider-Man license from Activision im almost certain there would be a heavy penalty laid against Marvel.
I dont think we'll be seeing a Spidey title made outside of Activison for quite some time.
Also, dont put any stock in what a mod on a forum says or doesnt say. The probability of them knowing anything more than anyone else is pretty damn slim.
