anyone up for ps3 online co-op? it's hard to find available games

probably because they plan on releasing the "gold" edition with the DLC included soon

I just cant believe I totally forgot about the DLC and didn't think about it again for 2 months...right around when they took it down

So the DLC is never coming back online?

It's still up on Xbox Live. Either PSN is acting screwy or Activision decided to screw you guys over.

Where is it on xbox live??? I checked again yesterday and I cant find it??

Holy **** it's gone. I downloaded the MUA2 DLC on Christmas and now it's definetly gone. Wow

I just checked too. This game is completely off the XBL Marketplace... Even the demo. But not the first game? Something strange is going on.

Granted, I have had the game since Black Friday and could have gotten the DLC at any point, I just never even thought of it. I didn't know they were even releasing new stuff because I never looked anything up. I think it's just a dick move on their part to take down the DLC right after kids got the game for Christmas (or with Christmas money/gift cards), not letting them to get the experience.

thats what im talking about. Is there more then one pack out??

Interesting, I'm thinking this means that there will probably be no more packs coming out.

According to a member on the X-box forum who contacted Activision Customer Support here's the response he got back from Activision .

Hello,

The DLC for the MUA 2 game on the Xbox 360 is not currently available. It is currently not possible to obtain DLC for the game from the Xbox LIVE. Unfortunately we do not have information regarding whether or not additional DLC for the game will be released or if the DLC will be placed onto the Xbox LIVE marketplace again.

It's interesting they took it down...that's just wierd.

It has to be due to a disc release or something coming up.

still kicking myself for being a dumb-ass and missing this DLC...

I'm glad that I got the DLC when it was still available on Marketplace, but I think it is unfortunate that they took it down, and people who brought this game recently have no chance of buying it at all. This also doesn't bode well for future DLC that they may release for MUA2.

Actually, there's pretty much no chance there'll be more DLC for this. They would've announced it already for one.

Also, it seems Activision's contract ran short with Marvel and this is why the DLC's gone. Go check the official forums, people are beginning to figure it out over there.

If this is true, we're NOT getting more DLC and the first DLC is NOT coming back.

Personally, I find this a small victory and I hope the new Spider-Man game has NOTHING to do with Activision in any way, shape, or form. :3

Keep wishing. Thats not happening. Activisions deal with Spider-Man doesn't run out for some time. The next Spider-Man game that drops will be an Activision title. The only thing that would of gotten in the way would of been the Disney/Marvel merger, but even when that was discussed it was noted that Activisions Spider-Man plans werent going to change any time soon.

To be honest, no one REALLY knows what's going on because no one is talking. I've asked one of the mods on the official forums, he doesn't even know.

So it's nothing but speculation but don't think Marvel can't take their property back because they can.

Oh, and as of last year, Spider-Man and X-Men were tied to Activision until 2017 but, as I said, things change.

That doesn't explain anything. Everyone already knows they took it down. Everyone wants the reason WHY.

So all the kids who got the game for crimbo can't get the DLC. And then their parents will have to go out and buy the gold edition? What a dick move. That's gotta be a breach of trading standards or something.

There's no confirmation on anything Gold Edition, but that's still good speculation.

My money's on Activision losing their rights but hey.

See thats were i think you're incorrect. I dont think Marvel can just take back that property, at least not without a heavy penalty. If that was the case they would have already taken their X-Men and Spider-Man film properties away from their respective owners in order to distrubute it themselves the way they have started doing with their other properties. If Marvel were to just take the Spider-Man license from Activision im almost certain there would be a heavy penalty laid against Marvel.

I dont think we'll be seeing a Spidey title made outside of Activison for quite some time.

Also, dont put any stock in what a mod on a forum says or doesnt say. The probability of them knowing anything more than anyone else is pretty damn slim.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. Yes, Marvel would have some heavy penalties but it doesn't mean this wasn't planned from the beginning if they did take rights back. We don't know what's truly going on behind scenes at Marvel.

Also, he's not just a moderator, he's one of the admins. Someone I have kept in contact with ever since I became a moderator for them back in WoS days.

I can tell you that the mods for Activision know more than you think they do. They may not know EVERYTHING, but they know a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff. This is mostly because Activision hires them to not only control the forums but to control the website itself and they know what will be coming down the pipe and what to put on there in the upcoming months before and after the game's release.

This time, no one has been told anything.
