Anyways, I found this tidbit about several new characters being released into the X-Box Marketplace for purchase, download, and then playability for your 360 version of Ultimate Alliance; characters like

Santa Monica, CA – March 23, 2007 –
The Incredible Hulk, Magneto, Hawkeye, Sabretooth, Doctor Doom, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Venom, each complete with new signature powers, skins, dialog, conversations and achievement points.

I've asked that same question at a few stores, but since it's all sealed in the boxes it's hard to tell. The consensus seems to be that it is the original version, without any of the downloadable characters. I've had a hard time finding the "Gold" version in stores.

I'll be playing through with team motifs.

First up, Avengers. Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Thor... Hawkeye's been subbed out for Spider-Woman, though, because I wanted a female, and his voice actor was annoying me.

Next up, either X-Men or Fantastic Four.

If the game comes wrapped and doesn't say "Not for Resale" anywhere on it, see if you can return it at a Gamestop or Best Buy. Tell them you don't have a gift receipt but that your mother or grandmother or some old senile fool relative got you the wrong version, and you want to do just an exchange.

Tis a good game but either I have a too scratched up copy of the game or the controls can sometimes be dodgy at times. switching between normal attacks and power attacks.

You can't it comes packed with Forza 2, you can tell because one side is the MUA cover while the other is Forza cover.
