Ech, both are really lame re-takes on their better and original characters. With Venom it's even worse because he's a re-take of a re-take. Nonetheless I find Batwing boring as well as unoriginal so...

Can't you just look past the fact it's Venom and see him as the great deep character he is? Flash has always been interesting and a great character but making him Venom was perfect. Remender's run was fantastic it got deep into Flash's mind, his relationship with Betty, Peter, and his abusive father wchich is on the brink of death and even then Flash still can't forgive him for all the wrong he did too him in the past. He's a a very flawed person that dosen't have problem killing people but still acts like he's the hero. He tries to balance out his life as venom and his personal one but it might be even harder for him than for Peter. And he puts all of his loved ones in danger cause the bad guys get to know his secret ID right off the bat. Ultimately some people die relationships get broken and so on but he moves on. He's very similair and yet very different from Spidey. The Venom part only comes in the part that the symbiote sometimes gets out of control and Eddie Brock shows up at one point but it's mainly a really good character drama. So please BV look into your venom hating heart and give good ol Flash a chance. And frankly making him Venom was the best thing that happened both to the symbiote and to Flash himself.

So yeah i vote Batwing

I looked long and deep into the dark recesses of my dark heart and you know..... NO!!!!t: I loved Flash! he grew from being a bully to Pete,knowing he did wrong to being his best pal and stand up guy! just like Thunderbolt Ross into the RED HULK not every great supporting character needs to get amped up with Super-powers! cant you just leave then as how they are?! great supporting characters.Great superheroes need a great
ensemble cast! i think you do a great disservice to all the effort in characterization you have done to simply turn them into just another assembly line symbiote! F^&* i hate those things!!

I think you just totally ignored all that i said xD. First of all i agree giving a good supporting character super powers is lame but what if it's done well? And Flash as Venom is done amazingly well. And you're saying that making him venom takes away all the characterisation and personality he had over the years even though i wrote a long ass post nearly all about how greatly the series characterizes him and the fact that he's Venom makes him even better. Imagine losing youre legs and idolizing spidey and then getting a chance to both get your legs back and be spider-man? That's a great set up already. All the great character things they do with him could never be achieved if he was just an supporting character in spider-man books cause he wouldnt have an solo title in the first place he's not Lois Lane or Jimmy Olsen =D. And the symbiote is only there so he can have superpowers and I dont think any other way would have been better, and to be a main character with his own ongoing he needs superpowers, who would buy a book called Flash Thompson? And you might say that we never needed an Flash ongoing but reading this Venom run proves that we did need it cause it's great. Having him be Venom made him evolve more than he ever could as just an supporting character. You can't hate something without giving it a chance, and having read other things with venom dosen't count cause it's completely different. You're basically saying that something that once was bad can never be good again. Sorry im getting so into it, this is not the state your opinion on a character thread, but i gotta defend my boy Flash cause i really really do love him as venom and i love you BV but you're just wrong t:
