Can't hate a character completely because of some deus-ex machina $#%^ the editors pulled out of their arses.

Barry killed the multiverse, twice, to save his mom. I can hate anyone who does that as much as I please.

Also, I guess I vote Hawkgirl because of the JL/JLU cartoons.

Nah man, he didn't kill anyone, Thawne travels back to the past all the time to mess with Barry, never killed anyone.
Barry went back to the past a few times, along with Wally, that did not cause a sonic boom, heck, there was one time Barry traveled back to the past (Wally's present) in Geoff Johns's run, to chase after Thawne who was time traveling to the same past, and that did not cause time travel paradoxies or stupid murder.
Flashpoint event is simply a stupid way to rewrite history of the DC universe.

Well according to how they explained it in the comic, Thawne said that it originally happened due to Barry going back in time and saving his mother which had a ripple effect and totally ****ing up the timeline which killed off everyone and replaced them with the psycho versions.

But it's an event made to reboot the entire line, events are mostly over the top ridiculous and stupid, not the best thing to use to define characters, especially if it's as stupid as going back in time to stop a nemesis going back to your past to commit a crime against you somehow makes you the ultimate villain without knowing it.

That's like saying "Iron Man is a complete *****e, and all the Marvel superheroes are completely irresponsible because Civil War happened".

Well he is and they are. Have you not read any of the books? They all just kinda do whatever they want and occasionally think of the little guy while beating the hell out of bad guys and each other.
