I think it's just the Kryptonians' technology that turns people immaterial. Prometheus was still very much a physical being in his crooked house in the Phantom Zone. The Martians, I believe, could also enter the Phantom Zone as physical beings.

I thought you were incoporial in the Phantom Zone so how does torture work?
you are incorporeal .the torture is like when Kirk( see i told you about Trek) he was moving faster than everyone else and everybody was frozen in time and he couldnt touch them. he was (and especially for Kirk with chicks) Man! this is a fate worst than death. Spend some time on a desert island by yourself you would be making a coconuts knife to kill yourself only in the PZ you couldnt make the knife or cut yourself forget that. Hehe

Storage Space for Zod??
Now come on MD. Mon-el spent time in there when he got lead poisoning and there wasnt any cure. He was Like "i dont ever want to go back to that place again." Every Kyptonian Bad guy is there and if we count JLU Doomsday is in there. It's like the Super Villain Guantanamo-Bay. the FF are like "hey lets go on an adventure lets go to the NZ today!" Haven't their kids even been there??If you did something really bad there aint no appeals ,no plea barging. your ass is going to the PZ!!:cwink:

It's mainly a storage space for Zod, he's the only truly cool thing that comes out of there and I wish it didn't exist at all so he could break out more often and terrorize people. I also don't like that zod's time in there has prevented him from absorbing radiation and so he's weaker than supes. I like my zod in more comics more often and with more power than supes so he has to do the come from behind superhero thing and the phantom zone steals that from me.

The negative zone is just a place they made a prison, it's always had plenty of other stuff going on and has spawned countless awesomeness while the phantom zone is only a place that holds back awesomeness.

Depends on the person. I'm sure I could live without company for a pretty long time just fine. On a desert island without food or a computer or anything to occupy my mind, on the other hand? That's a different story.

That is correct. We'll have to agree to disagree because of all of the Superman books that I've read, the Phantom Zone is hardly boring...Purgatory maybe but not boring.

This is in no way a slight to the Negative Zone. :cwink:

Ten cool points for a star trek analogy that uses the good star trek. Save those up, they're better than marboro points.

I am by no means a social bee but 10years alone in place where I can't talk to people or do nothing by the time I got out of that I'd be more of a lunatic than the Joker on New Years Eve.There is a reason isolation is one of the more favorite forms of punishments in the penal system.

:applaudPhantom Zone, baby!

The Negative Zone in some FF stories and the latest cartoon sometimes comes across as a drug-induced visit to Disneyland. Not saying it isn't dangerous, just depends on the writer at the moment. I mean the Richards kids have been there. WTF kind of parenting is that? :hehe:

Oh, the Phantom Zone certainly makes a better prison. Because, as I've noted before, it's pretty much empty. The Negative Zone's got a lot more going on.

I'd still personally take the Phantom Zone, though. Immaterial boredom vs. Blastaar and an army of angry psychos coming after my ass? Yeah, immaterial boredom still sounds pretty good.

Franklin spent a week in Hell being tortured. When he had his powers though he kicked Mephisto's ass!

Val hasn't gone to Hell yet.
