Dove is really miscast in this role.

They are really over selling this I can't be killed nonsense. They are trying to change the timeline's future are they not?

I agree with you, it's silly and confusing. If they're putting in a effort to try and change events, why do they believe they are invincible and things won't change. I guess I may be a bit lost on some of it. Maybe it's just Yo Yo being delusional, and Jemma just blindly believing in Fitz's theory, while the rest of the Team are actually trying to make a change. Maybe those three are just accepting the outcome, but playing along with the teams efforts. Either I need to pay more attention, or there's some plot holes here.

Well Jemma surmised that she & Fitz are invincible because they live to have a child and grandchild in another reality/timeline but that doesn't mean that things can't be altered.

Yoyo with dem arms doe.

A lot of cool moments this episode. The Simmons thing was probably the biggest shock. Poor Mack.

So Graviton killed Quinn. I was glad they answered that. Do still wonder about the actor who played Franklin Hall not sure if he will come back or not. I guess they could keep Graviton in liquid form to get around that.

Ok it was cool to see raina again, but seriously the ruby character is soo bad , first horribly miscast second what exactly is her power/skill set, third dove Cameron is just not a good actress. It better start picking up its shield last season and its limping towards the end. I have loved this show since the beginning but these last few episodes have been like watching a CW show.

Ruby doesn't have any powers as of yet, she is just like a Black Widow at this point, trained to be an assassin for really bad people. The Particle Accelerator is supposed to give her powers by infusing her with the power of Gravitonium if they ever find the pesky thing.:woot:

Wait...I'm not sure its confirmed that Quinn is dead. It seems like maybe BOTH of them are in the Gravitonium...because Absorbing Man made some comment about how "they dont agree on much, but they both hate you"...which implies that both of them are still in there somewhere. And then it showed how Quinn got in there. Maybe I'm wrong.

So it seems that Yo Yo has told them all what she saw in the future, including the bit about them saving Coulson being the reason the world breaks apart and it seems like Mack and the rest have just decided to ignore her and go about their usual protocols, mixed in with personal issues. Are Daisy and May going after Coulson because it's the best move or because Daisy doesn't want to lead (although she sure doesn't mind telling people what to do) and May is going after him as a friend? He seemed pretty clear that they were not supposed to try to save him.

And yeah, on the face of it the idea of them being "invincible" due to what they know is to come is crazy, but at least Jemma and Yo Yo have decided to basically go all out to prevent the future they all saw and have accepted that if they die in the attempt, then they at least succeeded in changing the timeline.

So Talbot and Coulson weren't bickering the entire time, but I accept cranky grandpa Talbot talking too loud as a fantastic substitute.

Cap'n Crunch trivia! In Playing it Cool, starring Chris Evans, he has issues with the cereal until stuff happens and he's got a box and he says, "Welcome back, Cap" (which is the quote in the Smithsonian supposedly said by President Ellis) and it just amuses me that it's also Coulson's favorite cereal since he loves Captain America so much.

They're physical bodies are gone but their consciousness still exists inside the Gravatonium.

I really hope we get a physical form for Graviton soon.

Liked this episode a lot. Excited to see where it goes from here!

Rumor has it a season 6 is possible. The ending of season 5 will serve as a proper ending in case of cancellation, but there seems to be a growing belief renewal is likely.

I need to re-watch that Creel v Ruby fight. I thought he was supposed to be a boxer. There seemed to be a lot of wild swings from him.

I guess that the rogue Invincible 3 are the ones to get to the Particle Accelerator first.

They nerfed Creel in that fight scene. She shouldn't have had a snowball's chance in hell against him.

I don't know she is a genetic superman with say the equivalent of Black Widow's red room or May's training if not real world experience. Also a version the MCU chakram, the weapon of the season carried by Valkyrie and Nakia. So more than a chance

There's theory that Ruby has some psudo-psychic abilities. The scenes with her seemingly being able to clearly hear and sense movement with her headphones on are the basis of that theory. If that comes to be true, it would help explain her superior fighting skills.

A further theory linked to that is that Ruby's character is borrowing some attributes from Marvel 616's "Finesse" character. Jeanne Foucault, the alleged daughter of Tony Masters aka "the Taskmaster". Ruby may have some how acquired the ability of hyper-perfect kinesthesia. Being able to duplicate any physical act, without difficulty, after seeing it done once.

She was genetically manufactured after all. Though we don't know the donor genes, or if and how those were manipulated. And we may never find out. So far we're just left with knowing just that. She was built and raised to be what she is. And we're left to our own devices to imagine what Whitehall actually created or did. Or they will eventually reveal Ruby's full powerset and creation.
Combine her lifelong training with some sort of enhanced/gifted genetics, and she does pose a threat to even the Absorbing Man. Who also isn't 100% in that episode, being distracted with the Gravitonium exposure and it's effects.

I'm not sure I believe in said theories though, and I don't claim it to be mine. Yet it would make sense at this point. I just think they would have fleshed out those abilities by now if she possessed them. Then again, episode 18's synopsis ("The team must find a way to stop Ruby before the prophesied chain reaction that can destroy the earth is put into motion.") may leave room for them to flesh Ruby out.

That was a very enjoyable episode. I thought it was really cool how the writers had Absorbing Man (Creel) try to absorb the gravitonium, but he ended up getting attacked psychically by Graviton (Dr. Franklin Hall), who has been living inside the gravitonium since Season 1. That was really cool, and a nice way to bring Hall back. And now we know that Hall also killed Ian Quinn by absorbing his body into the gravitonium. That makes sense because Hall always hated Quinn for misusing his scientific research.

He certainly underused his absorbing powers. I No-Prized it to say that the effects of the Gravitonium were still screwing him up.

I never liked Ian Quinn, he was the lamest antagonist in season one, I was so glad they didn't bring him back. But it's still nice to get that closure.

One thing about these past episodes that really bug me is this whole "invincible" thing, it's really a childish way of looking at it specially when they don't try to prove it. Deke has Fitz' leatherman, just add a scratch to the present one, or melt it down. You can prove right there whether future can change. I know they can't for plot's sake but still.

Well he was working for the military for a number of years, it's likely he's gotten further training. However, it's more likely no one manage to tell his backstory to the fight choreographers.
