With the right writing, this could be a hilarious half-hour show. Could be really creative.
But I don't have high hopes. :/

The first thing I thought of when I heard this was, "didn't DC just announce this same thing like three weeks ago?"
I'm still going to watch it because the idea seems fun, but this is where I'm starting to think we're getting too much of a good thing. I'll wait and see before I make any judgement calls either way.

Yup, too much of a good thing. Same for the films, the genre will soon burst it's bubble by the sheer volume of participants.

I'm really not sure this is going to work, but let's let them figure it out before judging it.

BTW, it's just a pilot so far, right? There's no announcement that they've picked up a series.

You call yourselves Marvel fans...

The idea for Damage Control and the actual series that Marvel published in the late 80's and 90's were some of the funniest books they ever did. They took a fan nit pick ("Hey,,, How come NYC is attacked like EVERY OTHER DAY in the Marvel Universe and it's still standing? Who is rebuilding all this stuff that gets wrecked?") and made some GREAT comedic stories that were part and parcel of the MU. Adapting such a concept to the MCU seems like a no brainer to me. If MARVEL STUDIOS is going to be a well rounded film company, then it needs to have a wide array of products. So serious super hero epics? Fine. Smaller super hero dramas? Okay. And yes, full on comedies as well. If anything they've been injecting a bit TOO MUCH humor in some things. Maybe if they had a couple of outlets for pure humor franchises they would get it out of their system so as to keep it at acceptable levels in the theatrical "serious" films?

In any case, this could be their MIB styled product. Fun, with sci fi and fantasy elements, but definitely trying to get a laugh out of you.
