I like chubby faces.
I can see the denial runs deep and plentiful around here.Dunst returning hasn't been made official. So anything is possible.![]()

Who the hell is Terrance Howard? Is he apart of a multi-billion dollar franchise, after starring in three films?Visionary... you're an idiot. Dunst hasn't even gotten an offer from what we know. You are pulling that figure out of your ass. Look no further at what happened with Terrance Howard in IM2... negotiations broke down.... it came down to money. Dunst prices herself beyond Sony's liking and she'll be gone in a blink of an eye.
Sam Raimi would direct these films for a box of Cracker-Jacks, he seems afraid to let anyone else near the director's chair, and Sony sees him as apart of the billions that Spidey has made thus far. Basically, Raimi is going to like whatever James Vanderbilt comes up with, in fear of another director taking the helm and easily besting his three efforts.
Maguire is being offered 50 million and goo-goo-baby time with his brat. He's not turning this deal down, 6 months, two movies, 50M dollars, plus a piece of the box office and DVDs sales--he'll walk away with 65 to 75M easy. His agent would punch his mother in the face if he turned this down, which he won't, it's easy money, too easy.
Like I said, both Tobey and Kirsten are doing these films strictly for the MONEY. Which means, Kirsten ain't turning down a 15 to 20M dollar paycheck. And Raimi isn't about to see another director come in a scorch out his flame. Neither of them will say no, although I wish they would, it's not gonna happen. I'd be shocked if it did, but at the same time pleased, because I like actors who like doing movies because they love their role and being apart of the film(s).
Raimi & Co. could do better than both SM1 and SM2, as well, which really isn't hard to do, if your main focus isn't on how many toys can we sell while catering to kids. People keep mentioning SM1/SM2, like those movies are hard to beat in quality. I like them, but come on.No offense to those who liked it but, I think Raimi and co can do better.
Nope, unfortunately, Sony is a bunch of slow asses when it comes to Spider-Man news.Could be true, all of it. However -- while I usually completely trust Ms. Finke, and there's no reason yet to doubt industry trade The Hollywood Reporter -- everything's gone strangely, even suspiciously, very quiet since those 'leaks' regarding talks hit DHD and THR. Usually, when principles are close to a deal, and its reported by the likes of THR, you can count on it being official within days, perhaps even hours -- but with this story, it's already been a few weeks, hasn't it? And no, Dunst hasn't been mentioned as a definite by anyone, only that TPTB would like for her to return...
Sony could just be making sure all of its ducks are in a row for a big, complete cast/crew announcement.
However, could it be that someone's particular "negotiations" have hit a snag, and they might pull a Terence Howard on us? (Because who expected that one?) All 'the Fat' is saying is to not count your chickens before they're hatched, and considering the 'Don Cheadle' news today, I'd say he's right to feel that way...
Nothing is ever final until the pen hits the paper, folks...and even then sometimes things can change...

Let's see, Sony wanted Tobey back, and they got him. Sam Raimi will direct these movies for a dead goldfish, so you know he's back. All they have now is Kirsten, yeah, like she's gonna to be really hard to get back.
I don't know if you realize this, but Kirsten gets the second biggest check in this franchise, second to Tobey. With each film those paychecks go up not down. If Tobey is getting 50M, can 15 to 20M be out of the question for Kirsten? Let's face it, they get a lot of money that they don't deserve. And I think Sony are idiots for paying Tobey 50M (plus being apart of the box office/DVDs), that price is high-as-hell and shouldn't be to Sony's liking, but they're paying it and he's not gone in a blink of an eye--so why should Kirsten be?
