Have any of you ever done volunteer work before?
If so, what kind? Why?

I'm only taking 3 classes this semester and am not working so I figured instead of sitting around on my ass all day/shopping/getting drunk I could actually put forth some sort of effort, minimal as it may be.

I was thinking about volunteering at one of the zoos maybe, or an animal shelter. It sounds like a good idea in my head right now but once I'm scraping elephant **** off the floor I know I'll be over it in a heartbeat.:heart:

I had to do community service as well. For my MIP I did work at the animal shelter and for lying to a cop I worked at a resale shop and on the side of the road. I hate cops.

I volunteered in a hospital first in the maternity ward but later i transferred over to the children's hospital and i worked with children who had cancer. This was extremely rewarding as well as humbling.

I work in the Community so I have volunteered for a long time to gain work experience although I now get paid to work it's still rewarding doing everything
