Is Stanley's Mask more powerful than Dorian's Mask?! Dorian didn't really do anything as The Mask. Stanley, on the other hand, did a million things.

They should have been equal in power. Dorian was simply more direct with his power, which resulting in less showing off than Stanley did.

*commences re-reading "The Mask" for a healthy dose of the real Big-Head *

What else did you expect him to do? He wanted to kill the guy. He's not going to hop around like a looney toon as Stan did.

They both had the same mask, just different personalities. As such, they went about using the powers in different ways.

I guess. I just thought he would have done more.

Jim Carrey was just the better actor and brought that character to life.

The mask probably functions much the same way a Green Lantern power ring does, based on its possessor's willpower and imagination.

That's how I understood it int he movie too...in fact they go over it, in an earlier scene where Jim Carrey is talking about the effects it has on different people...he talks about how it turned him into a sex crazed looney tune or something, and he doesnt even want to know what it'll turn a guy like Dorian into (an unkillable brute, as later see)
