I meant for this play-through of ME. I'm gonna start over again on PC and pick up ME2 whenever Steam puts it on one of its super-ridiculous sales.

Question: What's a good team for a Biotics-focused Shep? I was thinking Wrex as my tank and Garrus for some Engineer goodies while still being able to hold his own in combat.

Anything + Wrex will serve your purposes.

But yeah, that should serve you well.

I always went with Wrex and Tali....and beards are not awesome

Tali's a wuss, as far as I'm concerned. I never liked her.

I used her whenever there were a ton of Geth in the area. Have her hack one of the big ones or a defense drone close the door and let them tear each other apart.

pretty much...gear her up and Tali is awesome, especially in the third act when all you're fighting is Geth

I gotta look at what Garrus and Tali can do again. If Garrus' Engineer stuff isn't actually any good, I might just bite the bullet and use Tali.

Garrus is awesome and he'll kill you for saying so.

Anyway, Garrus is a Soldier/Engineer hybrid where as Tali is full out Engineer and they play appropriately. Garrus does have adrenaline burst so you can fire off his entire power tree, use burst and then fire them off again.

I liked Garrus. He's a lot more appropriate for my squad this time since I'm going Renegade, too. He's an alien Dirty Harry.

not likely, he'll just whine about how his daddy is disappointed in him for leaving C-Sec...it bores enemies to death

Yeah, I'm gonna go with Garrus. BioWare games are as much about the characters as what they can do, so I'll gladly take a slightly nerfed Engineer skill set for better firepower and a more interesting character.
