DLC with Liara and the Shadow Broker? :( Thought that would be a storyline in ME3...not just some DLC

I think it's cool. Remember, Bioware did say a while ago that we'd get ME 2.5 before the release of 3. I just hope that THIS DLC takes place after the end game...

That's the only negative thing about the DLC. I told the Illusive Man to get bent...so with each new DLC it just feels silly to still get messages from him telling me about this new mission and that new mission. I started another play just to play the two DLC we've got up until now...I really, really hope this one picks up at end game.

Or at least is a message from Liara herself and NOT the Illusive Man.

Ugh, I was also hoping that the Shadow Broker would be a side mission in ME3...I'll definitely get this DLC though.

Awesome, definitely looking forward to taking care of the SB. Its nice to see Bioware is serious about the DLC this time around as opposed to before when we got Bring Down the Sky and that was it. Overlord and Kasumi were both top notch so I'm expecting this to be as well.

I also kind of noticed the screenie had Garrus/Tali/Liara for a ME1 reunion.

This is why this is my favorite series.

It dawned on me...

I hope we see a level cap increase with one of these DLCs, similar to what Fallout 3 did with Broken Steel. If they're going to be bridging the gap through to ME3 (what Casey Hudson called "Mass Effect 2.5"), it's going to be a real drag if I can't go higher than level 30.

I hit that even without the DLC.

There was also Pinnacle Station, but that was really just a set of challenge maps. No real story to speak of.

There was a semblance of a story, but it was weak, pretty much what Saint said.

I still bought it though, because Bioware owns my soul. :o :csad:

I bought it, even after hearing how bad it was. I played it for the achievement, and I'll never play it again in any game I intend to bring through to ME2.

Neeeeeevvveerrr.

Just finished my third playthrough today, DLC missions included, my best playthrough yet.

Wish I didn't loose Zaeed though...Can't wait for the Shadow Broker DLC. :D

Bioware actually didn't make Pinnacle Station, it was the studio that made the PC port.

What are good add on's to get for this game? Im thinking of getting some DLC.

Well besides the free ones you get if you have the Cerberus Network, you should get Kasumi-Stolen Memory, Overload and the upcoming Shadow Broker DLC.
Basically all of the paid DLC is pretty much worth your money not counting the weapon packs.

All of them really.

I'm thinking about getting the CE of Mass Effect 2, I already bought the first and second game, for cheap, but...Gamestop ripped me off with Mass Effect 2's case. I like having the true cases for my games, and with the cool Collector Armor and assault rifle, I figure I can go and rebuy ME 2 again.

Bastards at Gamestop gave me a case with a Mass Effect 2 poster cover, and only one disk slot, so the other one is in a envelope.

It's an absolute eyesore.

haha yea i hate that. I work at Gamestop and it always bugs me when ppl bring in games without the case, because then i have to make a case and it just ends up looking tacky. Whenever someone comes in to buy a used game, i try and give them the orig case if i have one on hand.

I tried every Gamestop trying to get the CE of ME2.

So saying oh well, I reserved the regular edition. I played it and beat it.

Then I went to the Navy Exchange in Jacksonville and found it for only $59.99 no tax.

I then sold the regular edition back to Gamestop for $37.00 and sold the Cerberus Card on Ebay for like $10.00. So I essentially broke even especially with the the CE being $10 more.

That's what I'm did, I called all the Gamestops in my area (there are 3) and NOT ONE had it.

I found it for some decent prices on Amazon, 58-80, if anyone knows a place for anything lower do let me know. I NEED that Collector armor.:woot:

Do you know anyone in the Military who lives near a base with an Exchange on it? Last time I went there, back in June, they still have it.

When you're looking to buy a new game, it's a waste to go to Gamestop. Don't bother with specialty game stores at all, actually, unless you're looking to buy a used game. Gamestop, EBGames, and other similar stores are all pawn shops now--they only carry the bare minimum of new product, and make most of their money of selling and re-selling used games. Unless you're pre-ordering way ahead of time, they will always tell you that they have no copies of Collector's Editions, because they only order enough to satisfy pre-orders.

You'll always have better luck at a Wal-Mart, Best Buy, or Futureshop, as they actually bother to stock a decent amount of product. I would suggest looking at these places for the CE, though even they may no longer have it this long after launch.

Afraid not, even if I did, I don't think the Marine base near here has a Navy Exchange.

Thats not even close to being correct. Most collectors items are set by preorder demand, rarely does ANY store get a large shipment of collectors titles.

It's strange: you said I was "not even close to being correct," but you agreed with my statement about the availability of Collector's Editions, only disagreeing with my suggestion that they are more readily available at larger stores. So even if your statement is more correct than mine (and I will go on to explain why I feel that's not accurate), I would still be quite close to being correct.

Now, as for the availability of CE's: it is certainly true that places like Best Buy and Futureshop are not going to stock CE's in numbers comparable to regular editions, but the reality is exactly what I wrote in my previous post: you will have better luck looking for CE's in these stores, as they are far more likely to have them on the shelf, as opposed to reserved for pre-orders.

The situation is that these places understand that not every customer wants to pre-order a month in advance. Even if it's a Collector's Edition, they carry a respectable (if small) number on the shelf so that customers can walk in and buy what they want. Gamestop and other similar stores do not want you to walk in and buy want you want; they want you to pre-order it a month in advance--accordingly, they do not carry a respectable number on the shelf. Every time I've gone to such a place, the answer has always been that I should have pre-ordered a month ago--and every time, I've walked across the street to Futureshop and found the CE I was looking for sitting on the shelf.

Hence, my original statement: if you're looking for CE's (or anything that isn't used, really), you'll always have better luck at a Wal-Mart, Futureshop, or Best Buy than you will at a place like Gamestop.

Have any of you ever bought some of the exclusive DLC off ebay?

I'm thinking of buying the codes for the three Dr. Pepper items and the Terminus armor.

Eh, the Dr. Pepper codes are probably out there for free because it's the same code that can be used multiple times. That being said, I don't use any of the DP stuff, or the Terminus armor at all...
