Mass Effect 2

After you recruit them, you talk to them on the Normandy and they ask if you can help 'em out. :cool: Then you do a side mission where you get to know that squad member a little better, and get that emotional baggage dealt with before going on the suicide mission.
 
My xbox broke -- for the ****ing fifth time -- while I was just starting the game.:csad:


I'll probably just save up for a newer xbox with a jasper chip.

Ash kind of upset me with her "I can't help you because you're with Cerebus" rant. That and Shep had just SAVED her and... I was just like "Really?"
 
Yea, getting to see him again was pretty sweet though. He's got some ambitious plans. :word: And Grunt is a fair enough replacement, he's funny in that ruthless killer way. :o

lol that whole time I was smiling coz I took it as Ash giving me the greenlight to tap Miranda's biologically perfected ass.

Then later on I got an e-mail from her about how wrong she was and how she prayed everyday for me... lol. George Costanza said it best, "When I think I'm out, they pull me right back in!"

A cool touch, a picture of your love interest is on your desk in your room. Then when I was going through the motions with Jack, the picture was face down. :awesome:
 
I love it so far! I've played very little because it's really late. I just got to the new Normandy. Talked with Joker, EDI, Jacob, Kelly, read my messages, checked out my quarters and that's when I stopped playing. I'm going to be checking out every other level of the ship and talk to the rest of the crew, then I'm going to the Citadel. I'll probably cheat on Ashley during my first playthrough. I'll be faithfully during my final playthrough, which I'll import into ME 3.

Anyway...Awesome game. I can't wait to play more tomorrow.
 
Damn, every time you talk to Miranda they throw in a couple of shots of her ass, it's starting to get to be a problem. People keep walking in while I'm playing and looking at me like "WTF is this?"

Also, I used to love Kaiden, but after meeting up with him on that mission...**** him. Seriously, he came out like a total *****e bag. Jacob is my new Kaiden, Jacob's a helluva lot more badass and he doesn't talk back.

Someone mentioned earlier that it's too bad the crew doesn't interact with each other more, I think that's a shame too. I'd love to see sexual relationships amongst the crew, I'm rooting for Jacob to hit Miranda up.
 
Yeah Jacob was all "There's something I gotta take care of" I was expecting to walk into Miranda's office and find the two of them on the table or something. Alas...

And I would totally hook up Kelly with Garrus, the man needs some lovin' in his life.
 
Well, so I finished it.

The suicide mission is pretty easy, and kind of short, which was slightly disappointing. It was also disappointing that I actually did pretty well. I was expecting heavier losses, but only Mordin died. May he RIP. :(

All in all, I absolutely LOVED the game. Character and gameplay-wise, it's much better than the first game. I did prefer the story of ME1 (WAY more epic), but this does have one big revelation and a HUGE cliffhanger that made me want to play ME3 immediately.

I'm definitely going back to play the two games back to back in order to prepare my ME3 character. I'm definitely curious to see what happens in 3 when [BLACKOUT]Shepard dies in this one[/BLACKOUT].

Oh, and I "cheated" the hell out of Liara with fine-ass-Miranda. Space-Victoria's-Secret-bra FTW! :up:
 
So I'm level 21, have everyone but Legion, have everyone's alt. costumes, yet I don't even feel like I'm near completion. :D

I wasn't in love with the elevators or how often you'd find yourself in them (or how long you'd sometimes have to wait for doors to open, for that matter), but I'd definitely prefer them to loading screens. The news and squad chatter were at least something to focus on besides the fact that the game is taking for-bloody-ever.
 
I have like 3 more party members to get, finished Miranda and Grunts (wow, I like grunt MUCH better then I did Wrex...and I liked Wrex) loyalty quests...doing the Crazy doctors now.

This game rocks hard...I really hope Bioware has been working on ME3 along side 2 (I know they weren't :() because I really don't want another 2-3 years for ME3 because I just KNOW this game is going to end with a cliff hanger...didn't read spoilers but it has a "2" in it, so I only assume it will let us hanging.

My recently purchased Spash Fish were floating belly up last night...how many times do I have to feed those stupid things? Seriously, REAL fish don't eat as much as these things, lol.

I don't think I'm anywhere near the end (obviously) but this is one of those games that I don't want to beat....but this game makes me want to go back and play through 1 again and make different choices just to see how they affect 2 for my second play through.
 
Yeah, the only elevator that was bad for me in ME1 was the one on the Normandy, because there was no elevator music or radio talk or squad chatter to fill the time.

I think expanding on that stuff would have been fine. But, I do remember the elevators being one of those things that got picked on alot.

How's the player creation system in this? I was pretty underwhelmed with ME1's...is it better?

Ill probably do the same...I did Mirandas side mission and am doing Talis now, the Migrant Fleet is pretty cool

It's exactly the same the same for the most part. I'm really disappointed they didn't improve the way blonde hair looks. Hey Bioware! My hair does not look like it was drawn on with a yellow crayon!
 
I'm happy enough with the default Shepard, though. If it wasn't for him, it could hurt my eyes to look at the mutant I'd be forced to create.

I might try and make a (Die Hard 4.0) John McClane again.
 
I saw on Kotaku that someone did make a pretty decent Bruce Willis....

is it wrong that I have nicknames for my weapons that I use regularly?

It still looks noticeably better compared to the original model.

I'm enjoying it, I didn't like the first one all that much but this feels far more engaging, very cinematic.
