Mass Effect 2

Didn't the first game sell that like in its entire run.

Looks like they got a hit on their hands.

I really should have gone and played ME1 before I booted this one up, I've got way too many people coming up to me and going "Hey Shepherd, remember me?" It's especially bothering with the ones that come up to me like I ****ed them over. I was a paragon, what the hell did I do to you?!

Conrad was the best encounter so far though, he was a good parody of the last game.

And all the hints of things to come in ME3 are killing me, Bioware is a ****ing tease.

Took me 33 hours, but I finished it 100%. Every single missions + the DLC done, maxed out to level 30 in 1 playthrough.

Even with everything in order for the suicide mission, that was still waaaay more intense than I thought it would be. I had that feeling in my gut that any of my squad could die at any time, lol, luckily I pulled everyone through. Waaay too many close calls. They did an amazing job. :D

The cliffhanger is nuuuts, ME3 is going to be crazy.

I dont think Bioware can call this an RPG any more. Its a shooter with very minimal RPG elements. I mean dont get me wrong, this game is fun, but not nearly as explorative as say Fallout 3. With Fallout i felt as tho i really could do whatever i wanted, not so in this game, but then again maybe thats what they are going for. Like i said, i think the game is really fun.

It was intense, as you expected death to be around every corner, but I kind of expected more, to be honest. It didn't feel as epic as the [BLACKOUT]Citadel attack[/BLACKOUT] in ME1, but it did feel more... personal, in a way. I dunno, I'd have to play again (which I will) to really let it sink in.

Well, you are PLAYING a ROLE in this GAME, a very personal role, which really impacts the story, so in that sense I feel it's a lot more RPG than, say, Final Fantasy, in which you just go through the motions of a pre-determined path without really influencing anything. But Fallout 3 actually brings the best of both worlds I guess.

Yea true. Guess it doesnt really matter anyway, i mean the game is super fun. So who cares what it is or isnt.

Yeah, I've heard numerous times that Mass Effect 2 is best enjoyed with a Mass Effect 1 completed save. That it's very much worth the effort to go buy the first game and beat it, even if on a speed run.

Still waiting for my copy to arrive. While waiting, I've been hearing to the soundtrack.

The Mass Effect 2 soundtrack is damn good. Some great space opera, Blade Runner, mixed with dramatic movie score feel across the tracks. I highly recommend people give it a look see.

The music was really good in the first game, too. I remember really enjoying how well the music worked with the cutscenes, and even now I still get some of its music stuck in my head at random times.

They'll probably port it one day. It wouldn't surprise me if they waited until after the trilogy is complete, though.

Do you not have a decent PC? They're available for PC, the controls are improved, and they're actually cheaper than the 360 version.

nah my pc is pretty old, especially considering how quickly the technology advances, ive had the same one for maybe...5 years i think and ive never been a pc gamer honestly

damn it bioware show the ps3 some love, i want to play both mass effect games :(

Dont worry. EA will see this game heads to the PS3. Not sure if we'll see both games head there, but im almost certain we will see ME2 head there before the year is out.

**** Sony....share God of War, and maybe some sharing of Mass Effect will happen....and Im fairly sure Mass Effect is staying on the 360

Can anyone answer this for me it's about the ship. I know I need too gain my crews trust and upgrade the normady to survive the suicde mission. I upgraded the normadys armor/canon and scanner do I also need too upgrade the med-gel.

i would suggest upgrading everything you can. For the Normandy at least. It will increase your chances greatly.

Nah, the ME series is one series I don't EVER see being ported to the PS3...how many times does that float around and then it's suddenly shot down.

Finished playthrough:

I initially lost Mordin but realized I shouldn't have sent him into the vents so I reloaded and had Tali do it. The Normandy survived and so did the team. Seeing everyone working together was amazing and the revelation that Harbinger was a Reaper all along was really shocking.

I blew the base up, screw the Illusive Man. I am freaking pumped for ME3.

The Tali romance played out beautifully I thought. Screw Ash, Tali and Garrus stuck by me when the going got hard. I know its random but Tali was the one who went sliding off the platform only for Shep to make the save and then later it was Tali who saved Shep when he made his leap of faith. Wonderful imagery there.

Speaking of which:

Garrus and Tali were my last team, ME1 ftw!

The music was really good in the first game, too. I remember really enjoying how well the music worked with the cutscenes, and even now I still get some of its music stuck in my head at random times.

The tracks that play during the final battle are fifty times better than anything from the first one.

god of war is a first party game, that's like asking halo to be on ps3, mass efect is made by bioware, a third party company and third party exclusives are increasingly rare nowadays

Upgrade the shields, the hull, and the guns. Truuust. :word:

Yeah talk to everyone to get the ship upgrades and get anything that's related to armor/shields or offense.

Just remember when you get to the end, if you're trying to save everybody when handing out duties to teammates the game actually cares if they're qualified or not.
