Mass Effect 2

I didn't do Legion's loyalty mission, and he survived, and Kelly lived too. I went to the suicide mission right away. I guess if you don't put teammates who aren't loyal directly in harms way, they should be safe.

Okay, I just got to the part where the suicide mission pops up, two quick questions.

1) I'm at level 27, am I going to get the three other levels on this mission? Or do I need to do some planet surfing and find some side missions to get there?

2) Spoilers, I guess on this one;
What do I need to do to get out of the suicide mission with all my folk intact? I have all the upgrades for the Normandy (shields, weapons, hull, medical bay, mining stuff). Is there anything I need to upgrade on specific people to assure survival?

Mostly ask since this is kind of like my 'prime' file and want to do everything as well as possible

I just finished it! Awesome game! Everyone survived!

I did very few of the squad and weapon/armor/etc upgrades, but I did every Normandy upgrade and as I mentioned above, everyone survived. You have to finish each member's quest (well, I don't know if you HAVE to) and then there are some decisions you have to make at differenet points during the final mission, which I'm guessing could effect who lives or dies.

Okay, I'll be playing this in a few hours. But, I just read somewhere that the loading times can be long and that installing the game would be best.

Is it true? Would installing ME2 be best for performance of the game?

For the final/suicide mission I...
...used Legion to open the door at the beginning, Garrus led the other team and I took Miranda and Grunt with me. Then I sent Legion back with Kelly, Chakwas and the rest of the Normandy crew. I chose Samara for the biotic shield and again took Miranda and Grunt with me and had Garrus lead the other team. For the end I picked Miranda and Grunt.

Here is a question. If you saved your first Citadel visit until after you recruit Legion would the council (if you saved them) even notice you have a Geth with you ?

I doubt it, though the security desk when you first land on the Citadel has a funny response to him when you ask about why security has been heightened.

Oh voice of Colonel Tigh, how I hope you are in the next game.:awesome::awesome::awesome:

No its the woman at the docking bay not Bailey.

Though I'd love to hear,

"Frakking Geth!"

Well, balls. I guess I'm going to have to do some planet surfing for side stuff. By the time I get done with materials I should have enough to buy a damn armored planet to take with me on the suicide mission.

Okay, thanks a lot for the info.

I would say so. I installed the first disc, but forgot to do the same with the second. After I remembered to do it for that disc the load screens were shorter. It's not a huge difference, but it is slightly quicker

well. ive finished it twice. insanity is crazy hard.

im kinda disappointed in the main story. the supporting stories are phenomenal. but this game was exactly what it needs to be. It really starts the war between us and the reapers. the collectors were their first move...we hit them right back. Jesus, the third game has the potential to be the greatest game of all time. I pray they dont mess this up.

ME1 had the entire Citadel, which i really enjoyed, it was quite an amazing experience going in there for the first time. So I'd like the citadel and a few more ME1 aspects (some planet exploration wasnt too bad). Then obviously keep ME2's combat. so freaking fun.

for Mass Effect 3. I want a story like this. Shep and his original crew, plus some of the new ones (thane, grunt, miranda, etc) Forget Samara and Zaeed, Replace Alenko(if hes alive) with Jacob. And have them on a mission sorta like this suicide one, where we go to the Reaper Base. Our mission is to ______ (take out a Reaper advantage to even the fight??) Once accomplished, we go back to join the main fight.

Who the reapers would use as their pawns i.e. geth/collectors i dunno, i thought of this during the professor dossier...but there was a virus released shortly that only humans were immune to. so that same type of attack but the reapers end up influencing every other race besides humanity. As humanity is getting destroyed, our team has a mission to shut down the reaper control of the other races. after we do that, well its obvious from there.

3 DISC GAME :ninja:

**prays**

and for god sakes give us a better inventory system, dont just basically get rid of it. I for one loved looting and finding a bad ass piece of armor, then equiping my other crew members with my next best armor/equipment. I enjoyed arming everyone with combat optics, rail extensions, and stabilizers.

ME2 is ****ing great though. all around this game is unreal. There was a review i read on IGN that said "When I'm not playing ME2, I'm thinking about ME2." That actually has been the case for a few days, but now im waiting for Bioshock 2.

I believe the true issue isn't a lack of an inventory menu. It is a lack of items and customization. This is probably a result of Bioware/EA's DLC strategy.

Wow, Legion's death made me :(

He tries to autosave his personality but reports that can find "No Carrier" and then gets stuck into a loop repeating it before he shuts down.

I know this is all about space and everything, but can I get one side mission on Mars or Earth or something?? just one, I don't even need it to be part of the main story

Where do ya get new armour/helmets?? I'm well into the game now, got 2 team members left to recruit, but i'm still in my N7 armour.
