Mass Effect 2

Miranda and Jacob probably have the most interaction in 2 followed by Tali and Legion with Jack and Miranda bringing up the rear. Everyone else has a few bits and pieces every so often.

One thing that bothered me about the discussions in 1 is that 70% or more of it was interchangeable with other characters which made it feel a bit artificial as opposed to organic.

Here's to hoping that in 3 they just rip off their fellow developers and give us a solid amount of banter.

I don't think the points you earn per level ever increases. You're not going to be able to level everything on every character up to its maximum. I think even Shepard doesn't get quite enough points to max all of his abilities by the end of the game.

thanks!

Shepard should have 51 points at level 30, including the point you get from investing in a bonus skill. That's enough to max five skills, with one point in a sixth. Or said points distributed in some other way.

Miranda and Jacob both get 31 points total. All other squadmates get 30, unless this has been fixed in a patch.

Question about conversation options. Should I spend points on charme and intimidation, or would that be just a waste of points?

I also max out my speech first... I find it more helpful than anything else. :p

It's really up to you. Do you want more options? If yes, then spend points there. If no, don't.

There are two points in the game where having high persuade or intimidate will come in handy (though one of these can be avoided if you do a certain character's sidequest).

I think its more important in 2 than in one.

I think I'll spend some points in intimidation then. It's nice to be able to persuade people, but sometimes I just like to tell someone to get the hell out of my face.

I haven't put any pts in persuade or intimidate yet, although there's a mission that requires me to have a high skill for either one to progress. I want to open up more conversations (esp. if it helps Shepard score with the ladies), but right now I think staying alive during combat is more important.

While I think Reave is a fantastic ability, I think the general consensus is it's bad on a Vanguard because of the global cooldown. It resets Charge, which you're usually using to stay alive.

Adept, I can't see why not.

I prefer Warp Ammo, but I like to pewpew.

I've found the Reave Ability to be a Vanguard's best friend it heals your character, and doubles as a Warp.

I know some players go with Barrier for the Defensive boost it provides not to mention it is supplemented by Biotic players.

since I haven't unlocked Reave myself ( I keep restarting the game so I'm stuck on the 2nd mission......lol ), I've been watching some youtube vids of it, and I'm trying to figure out exactly how it works.

It seems on barriers/armor/shields, it does direct, one-time damage ( and huge damage on barriers ).

once the enemy goes down to the Health bar, then Reave drains health to restore your health.

Is that how it works?

Part of me want to start a Vanguard character just so I can have abilities like Barrier, but I don't have enough free time to play as it is, unfortunately.

as for biotics, I go for stuff like shockwave..anything that knocks enemies on their asses....

Nooo! My first choice in Mass Effect. Why can't there be a 3rd option? Come back later to decide, only to forget about it.

Whether to kill the Rachni Queen or not. On one hand, it's a huge, mother****ing ugly, tentacle equipped, killing machine. On the other hand, it's intelligent, it really hasn't done **** right now that makes it worth killing and might have been manipulated in the last war.

yea...thats a toughie...I did it both ways during my playthroughs

taking out Benezia is a pain in the arse though

I hope that decision really comes to fruition in the 3rd game, like, the tide turns because you have a Rachni army behind you.

I wonder if there will be a counter in ME3 in regards to how many "correct" decisions you made and if you fail too many you can still win but at greater cost, perhaps even Shepard's own life.

I want to decide who lives and dies again. :)

Aside from Miranda, Mordin from the 2nd game and Garrus, Wrex, Ashley, Tali, and Ashley from the 1st game. I'd sacrifice the rest. And Thane well he's dying anyways.
