Yeah dude, it looks like he's got a handle on the fantasy stuff. I feel a lot better now than I did when he was on X3.

There's gonna be a Thor movie. Damn.

Wonder if he will see this one through.

This is a done deal, right? Yes!!!

Thor --> Summer 2009

Captain America --> (One more to go!)

Yes! Great choice IMO! I'm watching this day 1 no matter what! HAHAHA! Can't wait for Capt. now...

so when will Thor get his own forum/category among the other comic book heroes here?

Thank God Vaughn is directing it, and not Goyer.

Well, glad it's finally officially.

Now we just wait to see who will be joining him in 2009.

Hope it's Cap, but if not I definitely want Ant-Man.

So long as he doesn't walk off of this one like X3.

Now all we need is Brad Pitt to play Thor.

Marvel is going to completely dominate the Hype boards.

It HAS to be Cap that same year. In fact, we should hear something before long I think.

If he did X3 all of us would be feeling a lot better.

No we wouldn't. Matthew said in a interview that Fox was rushing it, and it would have turned out prety much the same. Unless Fox let him halt production so they could write a better script.

I'm calling it right now...

In a future interview: "I'm picturing Vinnie Jones as Odin. I've always pictured him as this big, cockney bloke always busting Thor's balls."

One month later, he'll drop out, and the project will go to Brett Ratner.

I'm joking. I loved Layer Cake.

I'ld still rather Brian Blessed or John Rhys-Davies as Odin.

Vladmir Kulitch would be great as Thor but might be a bit too old. Maybe Johann Urb?

Definetely Paul Bettany as Loki though

Can we get someone bigger than Brad Pitt to play Thor?

Cap news, Cap news... I'm salivating like a dog.

Nice choices. I'd go with Rhys-Davies. Blessed has to play Destruction in a Sandman or Death movie.

Brad Pitt is TOO big for his own good. If an actor is too well known it can mess up the suspension of disbelief and make it hard to see them as anything but themselves, which is fine for the most part, but makes things difficult if they end up playing a pre-established character who is famous in it's own right. Why do you think they've always cast relative unknowns to play James Bond?

I'm having a hard enough time believing that Brad Pitt is Jesse James after seeing the trailer for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, believing he is actually Thor would be downright impossible.

I'm betting Marvel is going to pick a 30-something actor to compare with Robert Downey in the 1st Avengers movie.

And the problem with that is...?

Thor never struck me as being a particularly young man. Even if we didn't know about the casting of RDJ and Edward Norton I would still assume Thor would be in his 30s, at least.

I don't know man, Brad Pitt just seems like a contender to me.
