Matthew Vaughn to direct Thor

Thor has to be bigger in stature than Pitt. He's a tall and muscular Asgardian.

NOT THAT HE IS MY FIRST CHOICE-but I have a strong feeling that WWE Superstar will play Thor. I don't want that because than Vince is going to want to produce the film as well.

Who, HHH? Won't happen, look at the casts for Iron Man/Incredible Hulk, there's no way they'll squander Thor that badly.

I mean, I like Triple H alright, but he was kinda terrible in Blade 3.

HHH won't get the role. He could not speak like Thor, and Marvel seems to be getting higher end talent for their roles.

I think an English actor is gonna get the role of Thor.

Cool! A Thor movie can be like no other comic book movie yet! Completely different, and utterly cool.

I still think introducing Captain America through the Avengers movie would work better than giving him his own solo film.

Who would be good as LOKI? Will Marvel make him serious or funny? I could see them making him a cross between Manderin and the Joker. Would he be a buff version or a scrawny version?

Jim Carrey? Paul Bettany?

Robert Downey, Jr., Edward Norton... and HHH? Yep, he fits right in, doesn't he? :whatever:

I think doing a Cap WWII epic first, and making him the main character of the Avengers movie is what I would do, but I think doing a Cap solo movie, where he is in both eras could work (though it is much harder to do right...both periods needs to be balanced delicately and the Skull needs an overlapping of both eras plot).

Well ya know he was going to eventually be suggested for one of these comic films.....

Brian Blessed would own everyone else as Odin.

As i've posted in other threads in the past; for Thor they need an unknown -they need to find someone with the look of Dolph Lundren circa 1987 and that'd be perfect (although acting ability is a must!!)

I agree that Bettany would be good for Loki.

coool, Im very pleased with this news!!! If Marvel plays their cards right and try not to rush this and let Vaughn do his job right, this could be Marvel's Lord of the Rings :)

I think Bettany would be a better Red Skull :o

Hell yeah motha f***as... must get Captain America news asap....

I loved Eric Allan Kramer as Thor! I got to interview him about it, actually, right here, and he was a super-nice guy.

For the new Thor, I'd cast Eric Dane from Grey's Anatomy and X3:

sounds good, the guy as the physic and God-like look

Who was he in x3 though??

I honestly think Marvel might snag Spielberg for Cap in 2010.

Lets not go crazy... how many WWII set pieces is Spielberg gonna do? Plus this is Captain America... not Superman... you don't need a big time director for any of these comic book films... it simply isn't worth it... look what happened to Ang Lee's Hulk...
