Infinity War MCU Marathon

I finally ended the Marvel Cinematic Universe marathon...watched all 18 films in chronological order and watched the last 2 films in the universe today. I watched Thor Ragnarok (2017) and watched Black Panther (2018) on my laptop well because I had 2 more films left to go. Honestly, I can't believe that it is over.

With Thor Ragnarok as far as Thor films go I will say this it is better than the first 2 combined and that is saying a lot. Thor Ragnarok never ceases to amaze me even with every viewing. It is funny really funny but also a lot more characters that were introduced that honestly if they do stick around in the MCU I will be so happy like such characters such as: Korg, Miek and Grandmaster. Skurge's death was done beautifully and I can't even call Skurge a villain. He is more or less a reluctant villain well an anti-hero because he more or less sacrifices himself for Asgard just so the Asgardians can live. I will say Ruffalo's Banner/Hulk has his best performance here vs any Marvel film he has been in to date. Blanchett she was perfect as Hela with Marvel getting it right as far as casting her in that role but I do have to wonder if she will be back considering the comic tie in with Thanos. However, as far as performances go Hemsworth probably had his best performance as Thor in Ragnarok because in Dark World and even in the first Thor film he came off as being one-note.

Black Panther (2018) hands down for me as far as MCU films go it is the best one in the universe out of all the 18 films bar none. It continues to be a cultural phenomenon and at the box office it continues to break box office records even after a month after its release practically. Not to mention it is a film that just resonates with the average viewer but also because of the tragic hero's journey behind it.

Homecoming and maybe Guardians 2 next week
This movie experience was very frustrating to me, it reminded me a bit of Web of Shadows, pronounced the rdeemer of Spider-Man games, and he basically took orders from every guest character there.

When I see it again, I won't be complimenting it.

Rewatching all 18 films I really appreciate the creative arc Marvel crafted. The stand out are definitely the Captain America & Iron Man arc, The Avengers, Guardians & Spider-Man.

I feel like Thor is low key the most fleshed out character in the MCU. The most underrated protagonist imo.

Watched "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and "Thor: Ragnarok" last night and just got back from "Black Panther" in theaters a third time this morning, concluding my MCU Marathon.

I'm ready to go. I'm just ready. Glad they moved it up a week because the wait still feels long but is now at least a week less because I want it now.

10 years to Infinity. It's time.

Those are some beautiful posters. I can't decide whether Civil War or Ragnarok had the most visually appealing poster.

Just finished Homecoming. I love it but I do have problems with it. The action isn't that great, the supporting cast either and some of the CG on the suit is a little wonky.

Really looking forward to the sequel though and seeing which villains we're getting

Avengers Infinity War Marathon: Iron Man (2008)

It's been a while since I last watched it and for the most part it holds up pretty nicely. I still wished they had Faran Tahir fight RDJ at least once. I finally got around watching the deleted scenes and I didn't even know they had a whole section where they went to Dubai. That was wild.

Finished my marathon!!! Just got back from seeing Black Panther

Finished GUARDIANS. Pretty fun. Especially the setup and first two acts. I think those dogfights got a little mediocre but it’s a fun one.

Started a mini marathon with Avengers yesterday. Still great, but I feel the MCU became so much more after it, I put many phase 2-3 movies above it.

I saw Guardians 2 for the first time last Friday and i just keep liking it more and more. The film was absolutely delightful and Baby Groot is impossibly adorable

Just finished IM3 last night. Forgot how much I liked this one. It has an interesting plot, fun action, and moves at a nice pace.

Avengers Infinity War Marathon: The Incredible Hulk (2008)

I don't get why some fans give this movie a hard time. Rewatching it, I forgot how well they made this. It's a great move by them for not making this an origin movie. And how they were able to reference the past was great. There's a lot of small moments that didn't involve Hulk was great and I wish they added the stuff that was cut out. It would have made the movie even better.

That is a beautiful shot, I remember that in the superbowl trailer automatically got peoples attention. Liking these motion posters you are posting.

Yeah that was an iconic Iron Man shot.

That Super Bowl trailer sold the movie for a lot of people. I was going to see it regardless but seeing that made me exponentially more hyped for it.

Seeing all 18 films it makes me even more hyped now for Infinity War

Always enjoyed IH. Love Mark as Banner but I have to give the slight edge to Norton. He embodies the comic book version more to me.

I used that high five gif a lot in recent days, that's the only reason I won't use it when I say agreed and QFT.

Avengers Infinity War Marathon: Iron Man 2 (2010)

More or less felt the same when I first saw it. The first half of the movie is by far the best part about the movie. They did a great job setting up Ivan Vanko and showing what he's about. While I wish they did went full on Demon in a Bottle with Tony Stark's character, the poisoning arc reactor storyline was decent enough. And they were able to place the humor at the right moments in the first half. The 2nd half however is where it kinda loses all the good momentum it had. Aside from forcing in the SHIELD storyline, pretty much every scene had a comedic tone to it, so none of the stakes feels important. I feel like they forgot to write dialogue for Nick Fury, so they had Samuel L Jackson ad lib his way though almost every scene he had. And the final battle was still fun, but they wasted Ivan Vanko and his character didn't make sense anymore. Overall though, it's still a half decent Iron Man sequel despite some of the major flaws it has.

New suits don't have those detailed mechanics anymore, that arm is so good looking there.

About to watch Dr.Strange haven't watched since the theaters.
