Sequels MCU X-Men storylines

For Phase 5/6

TV shows

Gambit (Disney+ ongoing series) - Sets up the second Uncanny X-Men film. Remy Lebeau is a young thief living in New Orleans but originally from Lafeyette. It's when Remy marries Bella Donna Beaurdraeu of the Assassin's Guild that Candra, the immortal mutant leader of the Assassin's Guild that throws things into chaos. Remy manages to defeat Candra which leaves Bella Donna in control of the Guild but they'll only except her as their leader if Remy divorces her and then leaves. Season 1 ends with Remy meeting a mysterious British scientist who tells him about an ancient evil about to resurface. One who brings an end to civilizations. He tells him what Weapon X needs him to infiltrate the X-Men to stop Apocalypse.

Phase 6's first X-men film would be Uncanny X-Men: Fall of the Mutants. Gambit arrives at the X-Mansion and due to his immunity to telepathy, nobody knows that he's working for Mister Sinister. Apocalypse's Horsemen this time are Hulk as War (with a new arm if he doesn't have one by now and a transformation into the Green Scar), Holocaust as Famine, Sugar Man as Pestilence and Archangel as Death. Fabian Cortez is attempting to corrupt the Morlocks under New York and convert them to Clan Akkaba. Magneto kills Cortez but then the Horsemen show up, completely defeating them. The X-Men still manage to save the Morlocks but Marrow defects to Clan Akkaba. The X-Men decide that if there's anyone they can get to betray Apocalypse, it's Archangel and POSSIBLY Hulk. The learn where Apocalypse's base is and that he's in an airship and that he plans to exterminate all normal humans. The X-Men intercept his ship over New York City and Psylocke tries to talk Warren down while the other X-Men fight the other three Horsemen. Wolverine and Hulk fight each other. Cyclops, Bishop and Beast fight Sugar Man while Magneto, Storm and Jean Grey take on Holocaust. After the Horsemen are defeated, Apocalypse reveals that he has Scott and Jean's young son with him and implants him with the transmode virus. Cyclops takes his visor off and badly injures Apocalypse by shattering his armor before Jean tosses him around with her powers like a ragdoll. (This is after Apocalypse defeats every other X-Man.) Archangel threatens to kill Apocalypse for turning him into a monster but then Cyclops stops him. Archangel then decides to turn his razor wings on himself but Psylocke jumps out of the ship and tells Warren to catch her. Warren catches Betsy but says that they can't head back the X-Mansion. He's now a wanted man and he's going to be sent to The Raft. If Betsy wants to follow him, she'll never be a free woman. Betsy says that she doesn't care and they kiss. Best decides to freeze Nathan until the day when a cure can be found. After the credits, we see the Hulk coughing up a device while in a cell on The Raft and begins calling in his Warbound from Sakaar. The second post-credits scene is an adult Nathan Summers meeting Betsy and Warren.

Cable (Hulu ongoing series due to violence) - In the year 3849, Nathan Summers leads the Askani against Apocalypse's forces. After thousands of years of being foiled, Apocalypse has now ruled the Earth for a Century. In a post-apocalyptic and mostly submerged New York, the Askani are the last hope for a better world. Much of the rest of the world has been destroyed by Apocalypse for, "weakness" and anyone who doesn't work hard enough or sustains any injury is immediately executed. Nathan's greatest regret is that his son Tyler betrayed him. Halfway through Season 1, Cable's clone Stryfe kills Apocalypse and declares himself emperor of the world. The Askani are killed off in the final battle with only Cable, Garrison Kane, the traitor Nathaniel Richards and Sinsear who's left for dead being the only survivors. Stryfe and Tyler head back to the past but not before Stryfe manages to damage the Earth's core which will destroy the world in a matter of minutes. The surviving Askani escape to the past but Kang heads to ancient Egypt and Sinsear only escapes to the past when he crawls to the portal as it's about to close as he'd already been left for dead. Kane vows to warn SHIELD about the threat Stryfe poses. Cable says that he plans to assemble a team of heroes capable of stopping Stryfe.

Siryn (Hulu miniseries due to drug use) - Theresa Cassidy is an opera singer and functioning addict who hides that fact that she's a mutant, particularly after Apocalypse's rampage has made people more terrified of mutants than they ever were before. After her father's death, her uncle Tom Cassidy inherited the family castle, leaving Theresa penniless and hooked on various substances. It's only when she learns that Tom may have killed Sean Cassidy (and that Sean used to be a superhero named the Banshee) that she begins to pull herself out of misery, get clean and come to terms with her being a mutant to allow her to develop the strength to defeat Tom. Theresa dons and outfit similar to Sean's old Banshee outfit and heads to Cassidy Keep to confront Tom. She begins to loudly practice her powers and masters her sonic scream by singing in the Irish countryside. Now calling herself Siryn, Theresa storms the castle, finds the Tom was using it for various criminal operations and then manages to defeat Tom (who she learns is a mutants) in single combat and sends him to prison.

Deadpool (Hulu ongoing series due to sex, violence and language) - Wade Wilson's origin story is skipped because, "you can always watch the old continuity, if you can call it that." Wade Wilson fight T-Ray and learns that he may very well be a mercenary named Jack.

Domino (Hulu miniseries due to violence) - Bred in a test tube as a clone by Weapon X codenamed Weapon XI to serve as America's ultimate weapon, Domino's luck based powers were deemed useless while her albinism was considered a distraction and she was abandoned as an orphan in Chicago until reaching adulthood in which she was conscripted as property and made into a covert CIA field operative. Neena X is assigned to rescue Dr. Milo Thurman and quickly falls in love with him before marrying him. It's only after he's assassinated by AIM and her superiors keep her from partaking in anti-AIM operations that she goes AWOL and sets out to cripple AIM cells across the globe with the help of an ex-HYDRA operative named Diamondback and a mutant mercenary named Outlaw. After killing the AIM scientist responsible for her husband's death, the Posse go their separate ways with Diamondback deciding to track down the Winter Soldier and Outlaw heads to parts unknown.

Fantomex (Hulu ongoing series due to sex and violence) - Weapon X's Weapon XIII experiment. Born in a facility in England called The World and raised in France while retaining Belgian Citizenship, Charlie Cluster and his AI partner EVA (who contains his nervous system, including his brain with two backup copies) have long retired. It's only when Le Bureau Descret contact him to let him know that members of an American super soldier unit have gone rogue. Freedom Force, led by the Crimson Commando, Stonewall and Super Sabre are raiding French banks which brings Fantomex back from retirement for one last fight.

X-Force is about a team of Cable, Domino, Deadpool, Fantomex, Archangel and Psylocke fighting against Genesis and the Dark Riders. Astonishing X-Men: The Brood Saga is about the X-Men vs The Brood where we meet the Shi'Ar, Starjammers and of course, The Brood. Wolverine's healing factor saves the day and he's able to cure his Brood infection and kill the Brood Queen.

Phase 6 ends with X-Cutioner's Song. Stryfe is ready to destroy the world in the past so that his horrible future will have never existed. For Cable, it's about Stryfe killing his wife. For Bishop, it's about ensuring that him stopping Project Wideawake didn't create an even worse future. For Cyclops, he's wants to avenge his daughter in law. For Rictor, it's about avenging his father. That makes the X-Men, X-Force and X-Factor have personal stakes in stopping Stryfe's madness. The Avengers and Fantastic Four are brought along for the ride to stop a world-destroying madman. And it's going to take all of them to stop the ultimate lifeform.

Phase 7 would be a finale for the MCU as we know it. It would be Norman Osborn's Dark Reign and Mister Sinister's endgame both playing out with a second Guardians trilogy adapting Annihilation, Annihilation Conquest and War of Kings coming to an end and the Fantastic Four caught in the middle. X-Force would be up against Cameron Hodge in Genosha. X-Factor would be fighting against Damian Trip. Things come to a head with Avengers vs X-Men where Jean is possessed by the Phoenix Force and the Avengers view her as a threat. This is where we learn who's the traitor within the X-Men (it's Wolverine and he kills Xavier), we see Jean go Dark Phoenix and when Cyclops is forced to mercy kill her, Xavier's ghost becomes Onslaught and starts killing EVERYONE leaving the Scarlet Witch to destroy reality once she sees Onslaught kill Magneto. The end....

Age of Apocalypse - Only Wanda and Bishop know that they aren't supposed to be here. That this world isn't their own.Apocalypse rules over all reality. Humans are rounded up into extermination camps. Many of this world's greatest heroes are now its villains. Only Magneto and his small band of X-Men are capable of saving this world yet they may already be too late. Wanda destroys this reality as well.

House of M - Now Wanda is the world's princess within the Magnus Dynasty and Bishop must convince her to end this world and bring back the old one. Wanda tries but fails and instead of getting the old MCU back we get...

Secret Wars - Victor Von Doom rules over what's left of all realities and only that pesky Beyonder stands in his way of ruling all that still exists. Reed Richards must assemble all of this world's heroes and Zemo must decide which side his Thunderbolts are on.

An X-men cartoon to put on Disney and Hulu would be better, could hit five seasons or so, as long as the story and animations are good. The Disney xd style is not a good fit.

The reason I say this is because Disney used to cater to broader audiences but their stuff nowadays doesn’t appeal as broadly as it used to. X-men cartoons are watched by children and adult fans as well, but the Disney xd style would cut down the X-men views significantly. I think you’d be losing a few adults with it.

Also, take a closer look at the way magneto and beast speak in the comics and cartoons. That is highly cherished by X-men fans and i highly doubt there’s anything on Disney nowadays challenging kids that way. Disney does also underestimate younger audiences and may even be making them dumb and dumber over time

Honestly, I think this is unfair in some levels.

I mean I can't speak about all Disney cartoons, but I see some that treat serious topics. Even if these cartoons still have comedy.

Not to mention that a cartoon doesn't need to be pretty serious to cater adult audience. Or that this will make kids dumber.

I understand you want a serious take in a X-Men cartoon. I guess it depends how profitable Disney find this.

I mean to say that in terms of visuals and dialogue, none of the superhero cartoons disney has made lately look appealing to me as an adult fan.

But if X-Men films are on hiatus, then they should invest in a high quality cartoon with a few seasons to test out new plots and characters.

And it looks like the original 90s cartoon creatives wouldn't mind making Disney a season 6 to bring back Xavier and reunite the X-Men!

It's the perfect opportunity to see how well a 15+ X-Men team is received, perhaps having them come together at the very end. It'd be neat to see different teams and interactions from one episode or two to the next. Kinda like playing X-Men Legends; I liked changing my team for every mission. Definitely hoping to see Shadowcat, Colossus, Iceman, Archangel, Psylocke, Nightcrawler, Emma Frost!

Would also be cool to see the x-men sporting new modern looks after Xavier's absence!

I dont have exact ideas but a rough idea.

Lineup Cyclops,Storm,Jean,Colossus,Nightcrawler, and Kitty

MCU film 1: A setup film with an anti mutant human villain to show off the prejudice angle . Perhaps Cameron Hodge. He could be a regular guy who is injured in a mutant attack and can have a blinding hatred of them bc he has to use that weird spider tank body from X-tinction Agenda

MCU Film 2: Morlocks/Sinsiter. They try to steal Archangel for Callisto . Storm defeats them but then the Marauders attack and the morlocks and X-men band together to defeat them and sinister. Sinister learns of Jean/Scott and plans for the future.

MCU film 3: Magneto and Brotherhood. Wolverine is introduced in this film and is sought by both sides. Wolverine is inducted into Brotherhood but defects to X-men during the final battle. (Maybe injures kitty gravely ?)

I’ve always thought the idea of having Several points of views established in the first film is a good idea. The misanthropes (the terrorists of the brotherhood, the sewer-dwelling morlocks) the mutant haters (all sorts of human antagonists) and the pacifists who advocate for coexistence (X-men and other mutants and humans).

Brotherhood, X-men, and anti mutant government officials at least, no? It worked for singer after all

Although in all honesty, I don’t get why Disney wants to own marvel and fox and who knows what else they’re trying to get their hands on. I feel like it’s too much to handle and too much to make quality films from.

I actually wouldn't mind a Morlocks story, because it would fit well for adding some nuance to the whole underlying theme of prejudice. Reject the cliche of angry mobs coming to kill little girls rescuing kittens from trees, and go for more variety. You've got mutants with cool powers and photogenic appearances and personalities, who might have to deal with some types of prejudice but also benefit from large amounts of celebrity. They've got fame, attention, often money or position of some kind. For them, mutant powers are a figurative and literal privilege. This is the status that the X-Men largely exist at, which is better and nicer than the average mutants. For them, life isn't about running from mobs, but it is one where being a mutant creates complications as well as opportunities. Maybe you worry about losing job because your coworkers are nervous, maybe you actually get a better job and have to watch out for whether your new employer is unduly exploiting you, but either way, life is about fairly ordinary concerns, of work and family and all that.

And then, you've got the Morlocks. They are the mutants with crappy powers, terrible appearances, and/or awful side effects. The mutants who everyone fears and loaths and doesn't want to be around. . . and the ugly truth that the plot draws focus upon is that this is not about baseline prejudice. The Morlocks are ostracized just as much by *other mutants*, because having the right genetics doesn't automatically make you an accepting enlightened person. Perhaps play an ironic mirror image angle, where the Morlocks actually get along fine with baselines. . . specifically, the homeless who live with and among them, who are just as rejected by the world.

Introducing mutants and the X-Men in the MCU will be a big step and should be a big focus for the first film. I'm assuming mutants are from an alternate world that is getting destroyed

Why do people want mutant are from another verse or another thing

Others timelines are just alternate realities where Avengers also exist
If mutant exist with them in anothers realities why cant they live in main timeline ???

I don't think most people want that. Just seems like a likely route they could take
