Comedy Mean Girls

It looked like something you'd see students doing in an acting class. "Alright girls, you're walking in the hallway when you find out your friend said something bad about you. Now attack each other simultaneously!":whatever:

Me no likey.:cmad:
You've never seen girls have at each other when they find out their so called friend said something about them behind their back?

The cliques themselves were parodies of the real world cliques

Exactly! And, the keyword is parody not realism. Like I said in reality Regina would have gotten her ass wooped! But, in a parody she gets run over by a bus.

You know what? Even as an exaggeration and a satire, it felt extremely real to me.

High schoolers don't see their existance as this down and dirty, lameass thing.

To them, it is epic. ****ing epic. The stuff of Beowulf, the stuff that odes are written about.

The prom? Not just a falsely sentimental tradition, but a night to remember for a lifetime.

Graduation? A grand end, an apocalypse.

That lame bush party you had last week? The thing that all of existence has been building up to. Literally the climax of reality. Everything after it pales.

That's why, despite the overexaggeration of the thing, it just rings more emotionally true to me than anything else. Huge riots in the halls might seem impossibly cartoonish... but it's just how we saw it, sorry.

Yes, but not various girls with the same exact reaction in a given place and time.:o

Girls are crazy, man! The craziest fights I've ever seen have been chick fights.

If girls can have their period at the same time I'm sure they can fight at the same time. :)

Exactly. If they were gonna go for realism, Regina would have gotten her ass wooped A LONG TIME AGO!

Or somebody would've brought a shotgun to school...

Great film,it captured a real high school experience. One of the funniest film in the last few years.

I doubt it would be possible now since schools have changed.

Heh, that does make sense, though I've never felt that way about highschool.
But alot of teenagers do seem to take their life way too seriously. It annoys the hell out of me.

High school is everything when you're a teenager. And to those that could care less, it's because they were shunned in high school.

I was never shunned, and I didn't get wrapped up in any drama.:o

So being English is that what High School is really like? lol.

It's not that simple.:o

Good movie, funny and hot girls. Can't get much better.

I watch this earlier this week, it's a hilarious and well-written and cogent comedy.

Interesting how Amanda Seyfried is the most famous of the teen cast ten years later, though Rachel McAdams also did very well for herself.

Too bad most comedies are not this funny.

This movie still holds up extremely well. It is definitely one of the best comedies of its time. My wife and I watched it again not too long ago. It's a great movie to revisit after not watching for a while.

It is also one of the most quotable movies of its time, if not ever. Almost every scene has at least one line that stands out.

Funny that, after ten years, Amanda Seyfried is still playing teens.
