Well, its almost here. i would like people to use this thread to reflect on the good times and the bad times we have had over the year..on this journey we have taken together.I have made some good friends Showtime, cinne, hunter, you all know who you are.


so i would like to start with the Routh Saga..when he was announced,my god the place was in an uproar.. the arguments spilled on for months... and when he was finnally revealed in costume. well we all know how that turned out.

Ah I remember the influx of new folks around here. Newbies(and I use this term in a nice way) were all over the place.

Hell I'll bring it way back and remember watching Superboy ravage people in arguements. Superman-v.com thinking that the secret director coming on board could be M Night Shamalan.

Watching a small little project called "The Voice" evolve into what would now be Bluetights.net. Man...its been a fun ride. I'm not going anywhere just yet.

And all the friends I've made on here. I know I keep to myself some but you guys are good people. After all we're all Superman fans.

i remember the endless casting wars, the bailey boosters, the wellingites, cavil had something. i remember seeing the halloween costume pic of routh someone found when it was first discovered hestesting for mcg, andi said "wow, he doesnt look to bad" and someone else, i think was marvel07, said the same thing.

Remember when the rumor was bryan singer had been fired by w.b. for blowing money?

Whatever happened to superman-v.com or bluetights "voice" that broke the news mcg was leaving in summer 2004, and then reported michael bay was all but signed as the new director?

whew...theres so much. yeah the casting wars. All that stuff was fun to watch. Nah I think I'll stick around here after the film. I'll be up to neck in school and work but I'm gonna be around. There's always the sequel.

anybody remember bluetights.net pre-superman returns? it was a fansite loaded with all kinds of fan movie scripts, manips, and stuff. it basically came in and stole all of superman-v.com's momentum, and now the great dan-el is no where to be found. too bad he was a great, great guy.

I don't remember us getting into it. I remember getting into it with Oldguy and Bosef at the same time, which was nuts, considering they were opposite ends of the same spectrum. Fun to have Oldguy cheering me one week and then sending a torrent of childish PM's at me the next.

That's Matches--he just finally came back here. Great poster. I remember discussing Snakes on a Plane with him a couple times. I think it was the one and only time I've ever been quoted in someone's sig here.

ya know there never was a definitive fan fav for the role, ala bale for batman (bale dammit!)-yea ok thats old but for anybody who remember pre 9/11/03 when bale was cast he was easily the fan fav for the role-but theres was a man who ganed quite a bit of momentum in fall 04. remember this man?

I remember back in 2000, discussing this movie in the Misc. DC Comics part of the SPIDER-MAN HYPE! Forums. Back in the days when all TWENTY of us active posters were merely speculating and fantasizing over all kinds of notions...Everyone from Patrick Warbutton of Seinfeld fame to Patrick Duffy of Dallas fame had their own Superman thread, by craaazy newbies. A movie based on Superman Blue vs Superman Red (yes someone actually suggested it), Michelle Pfieffer as Lois Lane and Freddie Prinze Jr. as Clark...(thanks a lot Bakerboy)

I remember back in 2002 when SPIDER-MAN HYPE! became SUPERHERO HYPE! and every other day there was a thread in comments and support on making a Superman forum, and Mirko kept saying not until the movie is green-lit, then locking the thread......literally every-other-day.

I remember back in 2003 when Wolfgang Petersen signed on to do The World's Finest starring Collin Ferrel and Jude Law...at the time it sounded absolutely *****in'...then he directed Troy and Poseidon.

I remember back in 2004, the Welling debates, McG signing to the project, McG leaving the project, Ratner signing to the project, leaving the project, finally settling on Singer.

Finally, 2006. I like some of you, some of you like me. Many of you dislike me, I dislike many of you...but regardless of that, here is to a great six year wait on the Hype, and opening night.

I remember that people couldn't tell apart Dark Red from Brown.

And I remember that 90% of the crap certain people were concerned that would bring down the movie in the end (mostly the costume) is pretty much an afterthought now.

I wish I could say it was alot of fun, but all in all it's been a big experiment in tolorence for me, but hey... I never got suspended or banned like some of the people I was banging heads with here. And I do got to admit, I've seen a lot of people here just have personality breakdowns that would give Therapists itchy hands.

I guess it was kinda fun...
