I don't consider a show "boring" because the band doesn't yak to the audience like Bruce, Hetfield, or Ozzy. I consider a show "boring" when the band churns out the same set list over and over and over for the entire tour with the occasional new song when another album comes out.

I wish more bands would take the approach that Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater has taken ever since the band started, where the set list rotates (so that fans who follow the band on tour won't see the same set list, nor would those who see the band on each tour).

Even though I still enjoy Black Sabbath, I can do without hearing Paranoid or Iron Man for the billionth time. Then again, it's because Ozzy only sings the songs he can remember.

I special ordered Angra's "Rebirth" and the first two Sanctuary albums(which is Warrel Dane's first band before Nevermore). Haven't listened to Angra yet, but Sanctuary is just amazing. I am glad to hear they're reunited and plan on putting out a new album.

Do yourselves a favor and check out Battle Beast. I just found out about these guys myself. The lead singer is awesome. She sounds a lot like Dio too.

Has anyone heard the new Iron Maiden album? I bought it yesterday and haven't listened to it yet. I'll most likely listen to it tonight when I have some downtime. I've heard great things about it and my understanding is they're working on another one that's supposed to come out next year too.

I just finished listening to it. I have a very hard time judging albums and songs on a first listen, so my opinion will definitely change. I thought it was pretty decent. Nothing immediately strikes me as fantastic or terrible- it's just, well, more Maiden. Nothing radical done stylistically, no experimentation, nothing stands out- just more from the band you know and love. I'd give it n 8/10 on this first listen, but as I said, my opinion will probably change.

A new album? Really? I've been hearing that this might be their last, but then again that might just be a gimmick to get people to want to buy this.
