Meteor Man was a great super hero. He protected his community and stood for their rights. He even defeated the biggest crime organization in his city (with a little help from Bill Cosby). During the 90's Marvel gave him a special comic book where he faught crime alongside Spidey. But he is ultimately forgotten as a great hero because he was a movie character.

What are your thoughts of him?

The movie was good, funny, and corny as hell.

Blankman was stupid, but had it's funny parts.

HA HA i remember that movie as a young kid.

the guy from that show the parent trap i think it was called.

Meteor Man went the way of other lame characters like Darkhawk and Quasar.

Robert Townsend was great as meteor man.

It really is a story that asks the question of what it means to be a true hero. Are they people who get great powers and use it to fight crime wearing silly costumes? Or can a hero be anyone, even bill cosby or your shy next door neighbor. I think the story shows us that it wasn't the meteor that made meteor man a hero, but just awoke the hero that was already there waiting to bloom and it's expounded on by how the entire block and even the little kid who switched sides in the end had their own heroic qualities buried beneath their fears of that lame gold gang. I love this movie... it really spoke to me as an individual in that it showed me the only thing holding me back from achieving what I want is my own fear of failure.

what? it really did...

lol Meteor man i think was a good comedy. A superhero that lives in the ghetto and every thug finds out about it and calls him outside.

"meteor maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan" lmao.

I recently picked up a bit of this on MGM.
It has Frank Gorshin, which is cool.
