Bradley Cooper has signed on to play the leading role in a big screen adaptation of James Renner's novel The Man From Primrose Lane, Deadline reports. Chad Feehan will adapt the screenplay from the 2012 novel, officially described as follows:

In West Akron, Ohio, there lived a reclusive elderly man who always wore mittens, even in July. He had no friends and no family; all over town, he was known as the Man from Primrose Lane. And on a summer day, someone murdered him.

Fast-forward four years. David Neff, the bestselling author of a true-crime book about an Ohio serial killer, is a broken man after his wife’s inexplicable suicide. When an unexpected visit from an old friend introduces him to the strange mystery of “the man with a thousand mittens,” David decides to investigate. What he finds draws him back into a world he thought he had left behind forever. And the closer David gets to uncovering the true identity of the Man from Primrose Lane, the more he begins to understand the dangerous power of his own obsessions and how they may be connected to the deaths of both the old hermit and his beloved wife.

Cooper, currently nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in last year's Silver Linings Playbook, will also produce alongside Kevin McCormick.
Sounds like a good choice for Cooper and I love me a good mystery thriller.

Good to see him in stuff. He's come a long way since Wedding Crashers and his dbag persona.

He's becoming the go to guy for stuff aside from action and comedies now after Silver Linings.

As long as he's careful what he's choosing. The Lance Armstrong project sounds like a terrible step for him.

Thought he was great in Limitless. Like to see a sequel and wish that Paradise Lost film had gone ahead but this sounds interesting.
