what exactly is that correct defenition of Metro-Sexual.... some chick called me a Metro the other night... I was wearing a collared shirt, jeans, and black shoes..... I always thought being Metro was if a guy dressed and acted like he was gay, but he wasn't..... but now I'm hearing that if a guy takes care of himself... meaning using product in their hair, and basically making sure their belt matches their shoes... that he is a Metro...

Metro could mean a subway system or a metropolitan area.

Sexual relates to, or implies to sex.

I get that alot... but it's mostly due to the fact that I live around red necks..... i grew up in LA, and moved out to wisconsin 3 years ago... and everyone out here basically where's old navy or flannels......

so basically, any guy that takes decent care of himself, and doesn't have a mullet is considered to be gay...

However, based on how I've seen it used I'd suggest the second most popular definition is more apt:

Metro Sexual

A metro sexual is very conscious about his image and looks in public. A metro sexual is often associated with getting manicures, facials, & massages, as well as using "products" and shopping at nice clothing stores.
