Honestly, of all the potential hang-ups that will be encountered with a Jackson biopic, I think his look for the last decade of his life will be the toughest to overcome.
I just can’t see anyone with a human face sporting the necessary prosthetics and not looking like some sort of parody.
Naw pass I’ll just continue to watch The Jackson’s: American Dream when it comes on tv.
If I've read the OP correctly, the Estate sold the rights so they're probably not involved? If that's a case maybe they'll do something interesting.I wonder if this will be like Whitney's biopic.
I'd wager that the majority of music biopics out there don't have uplifting endings but Jackson's life is kind of in a league of its own as far as controversy and tragedy goes.I'm not really sure what sort of angle they can take with this. Jackson's story was more of a tragedy than anything else. He was on top of the world in the first half of the 1980s and after that it was a long descent into increasing weirdness, legal tangles, and health problems. They could focus on his rise to fame but that's not exactly uplifting when we know where it all ended up.
Unless they can accurately speak in the seldom heard deep Michael voice, they gets no praise from me.One thing is for sure, whoever is playing Michael should already get their Oscar speech ready.
A literal physical transformation on film.
the movie is probably gonna end with Michael catching his hair on fire.Oh, so this is going to be VERRRRRY sanitized.
It will be very ugly when they attack the victims.
We’ll be the judge of that, I think.
It would probably be in their best interest to stick to his early years, but knowing how most of these things go, it’ll probably be birth to death…I guess it depends how much of his life they’re going portray. His whole life ala Elvis or a portion of his life ie the Thriller to Bad years.
