I mean, he's got the pose down, definitely.

Funny you should mention Quincy Jones because Colman Domingo looks a lot more like him than he does Joe Jackson, although I'm sure his talent is better utilized for Joe since Quincy would only be a smaller supporting role. And here comes the supporting cast. I feel like THIS is where the A-listers are.
Who do we get for Katherine Jackson, Berry Gordy, Quincy Jones or even Lisa-Marie Presley?
Personally, I like the idea of Jennifer Hudson as Katherine.
I'm just sitting here wondering how Scary Movie 3 did a better job with the makeup than a biopic.

Marginally closer, but the truth is, Michael’s look for the last 20-ish years of his life (and especially the last 10) feels like it’s gonna be tough to pull off without looking like parody.I'm just sitting here wondering how Scary Movie 3 did a better job with the makeup than a biopic.

What movie is that from?!![]()
I'm not even kidding when taking into consideration that they might have to utilize CGI for post-'80s Michael.Marginally closer, but the truth is, Michael’s look for the last 20-ish years of his life (and especially the last 10) feels like it’s gonna be tough to pull off without looking like parody.
It's from a tv movie that aired on VH1 back in 04. I completely blocked it out of my memory that I ever saw it until Double Toasted did a review on it. lol
No, that scene is hilarious! The country has just gone through a tragedy, and his solution is "Start packing. We're going back to Neverland."I'm not even kidding when taking into consideration that they might have to utilize CGI for post-'80s Michael.
I definitely remember seeing this on TV back in the day. I also distinctly remember they included a completely unnecessary scene of Michael reacting to 9/11 that had no impact on the plot whatsoever.
I mean, he’s one of the greatest performers who ever lived and also very very likely to have been a pedophile. There’s nothing wrong with celebrating his work and having empathy towards the horrendous abuse he himself suffered but it still feels gross to make a doubtlessly highly hagiographical portrait of the man.Surely they go with the off the wall, Thriller and Bad era. As people here have said, after the early to mid 90s it does get tecky. As a personal MJ fan im not sure if i can stomach the release. The amount of backlash this film is getting to being greenlit will only churn up the emotions of his detractors and his fans. I can see it getting quite toxic through production and gossip.
From the general public it seems the general consciousness is will they gloss over the abusive father, accusations and the P word. Saddens me this is what his name stands for now. I still get teary eyed over his man in the mirror performance from moonwalker but i still believe he was a troubled soul delivered from god himself.
