I read the article and it seems the question asked specifically about AI, and he did not rule it out saying he'll use what he needs to fit his aesthetic needs. No, I don’t. But even that question as a prompt itself feels leading in the current climate. I get what you’re saying though. Not to say Mann doesn’t know the difference, but saying “AI” as opposed to “de-aging tech” or just plain ol “CGI” feels like a journalist trying to rile some **** up.

I don’t see Mann trying to use the generative AI that sucks the life out of something.

But that's not the analogy here. The dish he's making is the same. The question is about how he plans on making the dish. That's why I want to know the original question. If someone asked him specifically about de-aging, okay. If they asked him about AI and that was his answer? That's a really bad answer imo.
