Mike Patton has such an unbelievable singing voice. Looking at him you wouldn't think he could sing like this.

Yeah, Mondo Cane rocks.

You should check out his score for the movie "A Perfect Place," it's really good. He also did the score for "Crank: High Voltage."

i love the crank score , but i didn't give a perfect place a good listen yet.

okay, this place seriously needs one HELL of a bump.

So, I was listening to "King for a Day...Fool for a Lifetime," and I have to say that this album is just as good as "Angel Dust." Sometimes, I prefer it more than "Angel Dust," but only sometimes. You can really tell how different it is from "Angel Dust," and the addition of Spruance on guitar and production (from Mr. Bungle also) with Patton makes me sad that they aren't on speaking terms. While Spruance may not be the best guitarist in terms of ability, I would say he's definitely one of the best in piecing together and making music.

Also, you can really tell how much Roddy Bottum's input wasn't a part of the album. Only a couple of songs have him playing keyboard, but he was in rehab at the time.

Awesome thread, long time Patton fan here.

The man can do literally anything, from singing sweet melodies that your mum would enjoy, to near death metal growls, and absolutely everything in between.

Even though I've been a Patton fan for years, for some reason I never got on board with Fantomas until a few weeks ago. LOVING the Director's cut.

Can anyone recommend me the next Fantomas album I should get? :yay:

Totally agree with you, King for a day is a masterpiece in its own right.

Thanks, I checked it out last night, put it on and just laid in bed listening to it. It was pretty cool, powerful stuff, really sucked me in ya know.

That said , I think that's about the only way to enjoy it, gotta give it your full attention. I'm glad I've listened to it and its left something with me, which I guess is all you can ask for from music.

Going to check out self titled now :woot:

"Amenaza al Mundo" is a great album. You should definitely go with their last album, "Suspended Animation." It's closer to in style to "Amenaza al Mundo."

FNM will be performing in London in EIGHT DAYS.

Can't wait to hear/see this.

I'm praying to something that they come Stateside.

Oh, and Mondo Cane is gold.

It's looks like that will be a reality. They added South American shows for October, so it's only a matter of time.

This guy is the man. He did vocals for a band called Dub Trio that formed around where I live. Great band.

Here's a picture from the Brixton show.

Kinda irritated they don't think they have a fanbase in the states.
