Mission: Impossible 3

Again let me reiterate..........Cruise can run like a black man  that sprint was incredible!

LOL,the stuntman Total Film was interviewing was commenting on that cos he didn't get a chance to do it

Awww man and here I thought he did almost all his stunts. I mean that run through the Shangai village as the camera panned across was cool and it looked like him. You know which scene I'm talking about?

No He did do his stunts, they have a stunt man on set to advise and maybe do anything to dangerous but the stunt guy was complaining that he never got the chance to do any stunts or the run cos Cruise did all the takes himself

Just got back,i absolutely loved it,The central plot was fairly simple about the old theme's of money and power but the emotion and humour and action attached to it made the movie for me
I liked the Ethan/Julia relationship and thought Moynahan made her character very likable so that i cared about what happened to her
All the actors were great and i thought they got just enough personality into each of the team with the Hunt/Luther friendship banter of two old pros really standing out
The set pieces were all stunning ,my favourites being the Chesapeake bay bridge sequence and the Vatican infiltration
The ending was fun despite the team being jettisoned and i thought we saw enough of Hoffman to the point all his scenes drove the story rather than just being there
Far fetched in many places but most Spy movies are and i give this 9/10,one of the most enjoyable movies Ive seen in a while:up: :)

Rock on

The Vatican infiltration was the best part.

The SpikeTV special showed why Cruise is so awesome cause he does all his own stunts.

Cruise is a FEARLESS, XTREME SUPERSTAR! XTREME V.1!

XENU protects him during stunt work

I also want to agree that the vatican invasion was the best scene in the movie.

That seemed to be the truest scene to MI moreso than all the Ethan Hunt stuff.

I would've liked one action scene WITHOUT Tom Cruise.

Yeah, I wanted to see the other team members get pushed harder too :(

I did like the scene In Shanghai though. I thought
not showing Ethan stealing the Rabbits Foot and sticking with the other two in the van was great. Especially when Ethan says he cant get to the exit and then jumps out of the window

Ethan is the point man so he has to feature in all missions,I felt there was enough of the team while keeping the main characters emotional narrative in focus

I did like how
Ethan jammed the radios when he was getting out if the IMF building
... I pissed myself.

The series didn't have this problem :p .

Just a question,

When Mission Impossible was a series, was the main Ethan Hunt character the focal point or was it always a team show?

There has always been a point man,but it was Jim PHelps in the TV show

I wonder if someone else was Ethan if you'd have the same complaint

Tom Cruise has to be a badass and show he can do all sorts of cool and crazy XTREME stuff.

And yes I would have the complaint, because I like Mission Impossible. This movie is NOT Mission Impossible done right. It's a step in a better direction, but it's still flawed.

I had a problem with the IMF team leaving Cruise behind at the end. It would've been the perfect oppurtunity to show them having a counter-strike operation against Davian instead of the Cruise uber-man ending.

That would've been a true sign they are bringing back the TEAM ELEMENT.

Ethan couldn't risk it in case Davian discovered them,he was ahead of them all the way
