New M:i:III TV Spot and Art!

Paramount Pictures has provided ComingSoon.net with a fifth TV spot for Mission: Impossible III, opening in theaters on May 5th. The clip, which features new footage from the antipated sequel, can be viewed in various formats here! The studio has also released new bus shelter art (similar to the German poster), available here, and horizontal art, which is up here.

Tom Cruise returns as Special Agent Ethan Hunt, who faces the mission of his life in the third film of the franchise. Director J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias) brings his unique blend of action and drama to the billion-dollar franchise.

Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ving Rhames, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Crudup, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Keri Russell and Maggie Q co-star.

I know I am being picky, but what do you all think of that explosion sequence on the bridge in the trailer?
It irks me because it seems to me Tom Cruise should be flying forward towards the camera since the explosion was behind him. I am still trying to figure out how an explosion behind him would blow him 90 degrees to his left...
Of course, I am no physicist.

Kinda a dumb question to ask,i mean Hollywood's number 1 goal is to make money hence why there are 4 Lethal weapons and 3 Die Hards and Bond 21 is in the works along with Indy 4,
when a franchise has had previously successful movies,studios wish to keep their faith in a proven product

For real though, and this actually looks like it has potential (Cast and crew) but Tom gotta a lotta damage control to deal with (not just tomkat but MI 2 was atrocious in many people's eyes and those type of big budget action movies are flopping like the Island)

Agreed,although i think the fact the guy behind LOST is directing will help it somewhat
Honestly i expect a few movies to make less this year,i think last year set a trend and SR and POTC2 will feel this as well,DVD is changing expectations for Cinema BO IMO especially as relates to repeat viewing

Uhhh why is Mission Impossible being singled out? At least half of the movies in Hollwood being released are some kind of sequel, remake, prequel, etc. ...lol. But for me this is only Mission Impossible. I refuse to accept that other thing called MI2 as an actual sequel.

Well as long as these movies keep making enough money to warrant a sequel theres not really much to avoid it. The studios see an interest from the people and they give them more of it while they cash in.

HERE'S MY TAKE:

Casino Royale---- It's nothing against Daniel Craig, but I feel like they should give Bond a rest. He's done everything already. I have a fear that the producers might make Bond TOO REALISTIC and too Bourne Indenity like.

INDY 4--- I don't want this movie to happen. Sure maybe 10 years ago, but not now. Espically with Mr. Ford being Mr. Grumpy.

POTC 2--- My fear is that it won't be as entertaining as the first, judging from the sequel trends through out the years. And honestly, the plot is almost the same as the first...

By definition, no sequel is "needed". Even Back to the Future wasn't meant to have a sequel, as the first film's ending was meant to be nothing more than a joke to end the film.

Casino Royale: I'm glad that they're trying to break new ground with this Bond. Grittier, edgier.

POTC2: I love Johnny Depp and the new fantasy aspect gives me chills.
