Pretty much, unless Cruise has been campaigning this for a while now. It's how the chips fell with Dead Reckoning getting delayed to begin with.

That said, I do think there's room for negotiating between studios and theater chains about IMAX/Premium format screen exclusivity. I know they'd be picky about opening weekends but I don't see an issue with alternating what's playing on an IMAX screen in the middle of the week depending on demand.

Actually I'm thinking Cruise should just be in a Nolan movie AND IT'D BE AWESOME with Nolan's passion for doing things practically in-camera and Cruise's love for stunts.

Maybe Tom Cruise as the villain in a Nolan-directed Bond movie?
