Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

Eh we'll see. I was highly disappointed by the third movie and it looks like another Tom Cruise manly man of action fest.

What happened to Michelle Monaghan's character? Also now Ving Rhames is in the movie? Didn't he say he wasn't in it? He was nowhere in the trailer? Was he added at the last minute for a sense of continuity?

Just think its lame they spent all of the third movie on Monaghan's character and her relationship with Ethan and suddenly she's gone.

Also every movie they say they are going back to the team element but they don't. Rumors started that the torch would be passed in this movie but those quickly dissolved. Looks like Tom Cruise is getting all the big money shots and sequences again.

Anyone else think Sawyer, with short hair and a clean shave, looks a LOT like Michael Fassbender?

Yeah, me too. I saw him and I was like, "Cool! Fassbender is in this! I didn't know that!" But then I looked it up on IMDB to make sure and realized it was Holloway.

Yes, I kind of figured that one out for myself.

And the answer is still no.

I saw him with short hair and was just freaking out I'm going to see this for Tom first and Holloway second.

My biggest fear is that they give Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor (who is in this movie) a stereotypical Asian/Indian role (I know he's playing a villain) by making him an Arab terrorist or something.

Bollywood sucks but some of our actors deserve better. Otherwise, awesome trailer. Looks like they are keeping the gimmick of having Cruise run away from nuke level explosions.

24 made him respectable but very aggravating as a president of a country...

Its mission impossible, the real threat always comes from within.

After thinking about it for a minute, the choice of having Tom with long hair was a strategic and brilliant move. One of my biggest problems with M:I-2 was how it felt completely out of place from 1 and 3, in style, in character, in action, and pretty much everything else. Watching all three movies in order, back-to-back-to-back, is like watching M:I, then some Tom Cruise movie, then M:I-3.

Ghost Protocol, to me, seems like a hybrid of M:I-2 and M:I-3. You've got the directing style of J.J. Abrams, the default cinematography of M:I-3, the action of M:I-2, and Tom's long hair from M:I-2. It's like 2 and 3 smooshed together. And that's not a bad thing. We needed a sequel that sort of ties the first three together into one coherent package, because 2 seriously feels like it doesn't belong.

And I dig the pattern of Tom's hair: Short, Long, Short, Long.

And yes, these things matter to me. These are things I actually think about when I'm bored.

I was thinking this too. :woot:

Although I hate the second one. I like how his hair in part 2 isn't out of place with the other two now. I'm one of those people who thinks about that sort of stuff.

for your eyes only....

These shots make me extremely happy. Especially the second one. :awesome:

I just re-created the part with Cruise jumping out of a car/cars crashing/a flying car coming towards him and him on the ground barely rolling away,in GTA IV and was awesome.....Until the car landed on me anyway and I died:(!!!

I sure ain't Ethan!

That trailer was sick. I love Eminem Wont back down music playing true it since it fits. I'v only watched 3 and that was awesome so im pumped for this.

Sawyer better make it to the end without dying or betraying the team

to me it looks like he dies. i mean there are 3 shots of him in a row from the running scene.
1. he runs on the roof
2. he flies backwards from the roof to the ground shooting
3. another closeup right before impact on the street..

i know it a trailer, cut from tiny bits of the movie but how on earth should he survive that ?

my guess is that...

most of imf dies off, and in the end ethan doesn't die, he takes over as the head honcho, leaving Renner in the star position for the next one.

I disagree. It looks almost completely out of place, and I'm not against rap or using rap in trailers.

Btw Donut you switching out music makes that trailer better!

Which would mean
Cruise could at least still make cameos and perhaps even&hopefully part of a mission.....By part 5 or 6 it could just be the characters saying"the orders were given by Ethan"!!
