I think he is the ideal villian for a future sequel. He is more "adaptable" than Apocolypse, is a great villian...although...the name would have to change...I think Mister Sinister would sound too...cheesey. Just stick to Nathanial Essex.

As for the cast, I think Rudolph Martin is the ideal choice. He is good at playing villians, and is a pretty damn good actor. He has the look too.

Not a bad choice. I'd Go for Michael Wincott:

He even has the Voice for it.

Read my mind on Michael Wincott. :)

Matt has a good choice as well though but I just really can't think of anyone better than Wincott.

You don't cast someone basically only known for playing Dracula in different movies/series to play Sinister. It's like people who suggest Kurt Russell for Nick Fury. Really unimaginitive and derivative, the worst type of a bad casting thought process. It's why 9 out 10 suggestions for Thor seem to actors largely known from Lord of the Rings and other Sword and Sandal type movies.

Wizard suggested Lance Herkinsen:

I like it.

But it works.

There was a reason everybody wanted Christian Bale for the new Batman movie and got just that: He played very similar roles and in a way proved himself worthy. If you know someone that could do the role justice already, you go with that. It may be lazy but a lot of the time it is effective. When taking a risk on someone that doesn't fit the type, there is a high chance of it having spectacular results (Wolverine) as well as a high chance of it having crappy results (Storm). At least with people seen in similar roles before, it's a more stable choice. It's easier to picture and has a better of chance of getting it right.

He's a pretty good choice. :) I can picture him even without the make up and costume. Just a pale, insane scientist type.

^^^Yeah that looks good, and he'd nail all aspects of Sinister too (voice/look)

Hes done far more than Dracula, hes only done Dracula, as the popular myth once...on a TV series. He did a biopic of the REAL Vlad the Impaler (the war lord, not the vampire).

He also has a recurring villian role on Navy NCIS, did CSI a couple of times, 24 and numerous other guest spots on shows.

Yea, I like Wincott...I was thinking of him, couldn't think of the name for the life of me, so just posted Martin...

I'm gonna say Matt Damon or Nathan Fillion.
Matt Damon already has the widows peak, and is a respected actor who would bring alot to the box-office.

I would love to see Mr. Sinister in X4, and maybe Sinister and Cyclops could have a 1 on 1(mano a mano) battle in the final scene.:cyclops:

Personally I think Michael Wincott is a real stupid idea? because (A) he isn't a Londoner (B) he isn't 6'5" same with Lance, Although these two are great actors
they wouldn't be believable.

Kevin Bacon would be perfect for the role but he already played Sebastian Shaw.

Aspects of Mister Sinister were kind of used for Sebastian Shaw, also, this thread is from some time after X-3 premiered
